I'm just curious about something. This weekend I did a knife wielding rape scenario with my male sub which went beautifully. He took to knife play like a fish to water. Now we've never played with temperature play before so I introduced that this weekend as well.

He seemed to like it *ok* but afterwards during our cuddling aftercare, he said though he enjoyed it, he preferred impact play to the temperature play. As the impact play seemed to get him deeper into subspace. Which is where I wanted him to go.

I was just curious because I've heard so many female subs say how they LOVE temperature play and can really get into subspace with it. I havent heard what many male subs think of it. The two submales that I've spoken to say yes they do prefer the impact play.

Is it an individual thing or could it be gender related? I'm just curious and wanted to hear others thoughts.

I'm a female submissive. I hate cold. Hatehatehate. The few times I've suffered through play with ice, I've been about as far from subspace as I can get. Impact play (and knife play), on the other hand, is delicious.

Personally I haven't noticed any gender differences. I think most people like impact more than temperature play. I know *I* dislike temperature play.

I like heat play but if Himself keep the ice cubes in the tray and the squirt gun for the kidlets, I'd never complain. I don't embrace being cold.. no doubt why I live in MN. lol

I like heat play and I don't like ice play. I tolerate pain really well, but the pain from ice is just not something I have learned to process.

I really enjoy impact play. I think some of my more memorable impact plays have been when he started out hard and fast. I become aggressive and it leads into a great scene.

Since it is summer..bring the heat on...I love it.
Ice cubes melt sooo fast and working up a sweat is easy, even in the shower.
Fastlane buys exta deoderant and sez ..Let the games begin....kevin

I also can't stand cold play. My Joe got the ice cubes the other day and I was protesting loudly! I do like heat play though. Especially with my Pyrex dildo that he heats in very hot water. *Swoons*

Personally I like both. Being blindfolded, having hot wax dripped on you then stroked with ice is totally amazing *smiles*

Being paddled or flogged till your skin is on fire is just as good.

I think i need to do both alot more before i could decide which is better *weg*

I'm with akisha. I like both, preferably alternating. There is nothing like having an ice cube melt in an intimate place then having a mouth that's been warmed by a hot drink clamp down. Whoooeeee! Wax play really gets me as well. I hope one day Master will try flashing as it's kewl when done right.
