She just needs to fade away and be a grandma.

That what she wants, too.

Believe me ,if the opportunity presents itself she will most certainly answer the call in 2016.Grandchildren can play quite nicely in tat big house [:)]

But the nation gains zero benefit and a hell of alot of pain out of any run of hers.  She is just a female extension of the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama Illuminati nonsense.  So why even would this nation 'go there'? When it comes to breaking down barriers, haven't we done the novelty presidency already?

The next President, no matter the party and pedigree, could be put on the end of that list. The problem isn't with the possibility of a HRC presidency in 2016 but that a certain political group has spent the better part of the last 2 decades demonizing her for simply being a modern extremely capable woman.

Heaven help this country and save her from competent, intelligent women who refuse to become barbie dolls!

Yep,and as I said she will at that point take a good look around, measure the field of contenders and pretenders....and if in her estimation she can win,she will most definitely take a shot at busting thru that glass ceiling that she put all of those cracks in.
I'm hoping it works out for her....a truly historic inauguration that would be,the passing of the torch from the first man of color to the first woman elected President...and both of them ,needless to say,as Democratic as they come.
Boy it will be fun around here right about than...won't it?

Well,if I can dream than allow me a personal version,I attended my first inaugural by taking my son to Washington to see President Obama take the oath. Were I to be fortunate enough to still be around in 2016 I would love to repeat the experience and watch a qualified woman (this is a qualifier that allows me to skip some lame ass Palin ceremony...lol)break that barrier.

hlen5 -> RE: Here Comes Hillary! LATimes John Phillips: Why Hillary Clinton must run in 2012 (4/5/2011 8:25:56 PM)

I hope you get to do that too!!

I don't know.

Let's ask those Illuminati.

But remind me again who exactly they are.

Because I keep seeing you conspiracy theorists constantly referring to them but you never specify who they actually are.

popeye1250 -> RE: Here Comes Hillary! LATimes John Phillips: Why Hillary Clinton must run in 2012 (4/5/2011 11:28:08 PM)

I'd vote for Hillary in the primary.
At least her healthcare plan wouldn't piss off 70% of the voters.
I think she'd make a much better president than secy of state.
And with Bill's connections and experience we'd see the economy start turning around.
People bought a Ford Pinto when they voted for Oblunder, just a matter of time until the gas tank explodes.

Someone please inform pops that in most primaries...one needs to be a member of the party prior to voting. As he is this boards most famous independent...I don't see him casting a primary vote anytime soon.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Here Comes Hillary! LATimes John Phillips: Why Hillary Clinton must run in 2012 (4/6/2011 3:48:37 PM)

And I will inform you slve....

That twenty-one States have open primary elections or non partisan blanket primaries, where there are run off elections between the top two candidates, regardless of their political party. South Carolina, where popeye lives is one of the States with an open primary.. A number of other states are currently debating open primaries or non partisan primaries as well.

So I think I'll take popeye at his word when he says he'll be casting his vote for Mrs. Clinton if/when she runs in 2012

imperatrixx -> RE: Here Comes Hillary! LATimes John Phillips: Why Hillary Clinton must run in 2012 (4/6/2011 5:56:27 PM)

-FR-

I'd vote for her.

Thats all good FDD,21 out of what....50.So most states do have closed primaries...right?
I mean if I am wrong please explain it to me.... obviously your snark wasn't directed at the fact that I have no curiosity as to where popeye actually lives...he's not my type.Perhaps he is yours, but that is between the two of you.I,for one will respect your kink. But I'm a liberal,so you know it's cool with me [:)]
