push this button and it erases 25 mistakes you made in your life-  HOWEVER at the same time it erases 25 of your triumphs are well.

Do you undo it-  or leave things the way they are?

Leave things just the way they are. I firmly believe all that happens for good or bad has an ultimatr purpose along the path of life.

I would leave things just as they are. Sure, I hit more than a few speed bumps on the way to where I'm at now. But, because of them I'm where I am and who I am today. And I like where I'm at and I love who I am. And, I'm very happy with the direction my life is taking as well.

If I could limit it to the last 18 months, I would press that in a half a heartbeat.

Everything prior to, I'll keep as they were.

I thought about this a bit. I've made some royal dreadful awful mistakes in my life. And then I thought about the amazing, wonderful, life-giving accomplishments I've made. It occurred to me that life would be terribly boring without the two. The accomplishments, the joy, the beauty I've created? I hope it's been worth all the awful that has come from my idiotic mistakes. I wouldn't even want to judge that.

In the end, no. I wouldn't change it.

This is exactly how I feel.  I've made huge mistakes, and I've had things inflicted on me that were no fault of mine.  I've had plenty of miserable times and lots of happy ones.  I wouldn't change any of it.  I sometimes look back over the threads of my life, one choice leading to another and another, all ending up where I am now, which is a good place to be.  I've made mistakes, but without them I wouldn't have my wonderful ex-husband, my beautiful child, or the love of my life.  I also wouldn't be so comfortable with who I am, and confident in where I'm going.  I'll keep what I have, thanks, no matter what I had to endure to get it.

What she said...

My priority is that I am able to look myself in the mirror without feeling guilty. As I am able to do that, I have no reason to undo anything. Despite some not so good decisions in life, they were still the right decision for me at the time they were made. I never claimed to be faultless, which is why I have no inhibtions to mention my humble human errors in my life at times on the boards...and keep myself amused when some posters try to put me down about those

So nope, no undoing here. Life is a learning curve, and it is ok to learn from experiences and also to experience your limitations in life sometimes Life is good as it is

It's funny my therapist and I were just talking about this the other day. Although I have had some horrible things thrust upon me in my life and made some bad choices of my own along the way as well,I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't take away one bad thing. I wouldn't undo one bad choice. Everything that has happened to me has happened for a reason, although I may not understand or see them they are there. Everything that has happened to me not only has made me the woman I am today but it has made my children who they are and who they will be years to come. Plus, I am not naive enough to think my life, my story, my choices haven't affected others beyond my little family. Who am I to change those lives?
