Actually I jump on idiots from both sides and if you were being honest you would admit that. Now I don't notice you giving the ones on the left much grief, but I suppose that is different. And no, I haven't seen the gas thread yet. But I bet it is full of bs from both sides. Maybe I will skip it and just call it a night. I am really not in the mood for all the hate this site seems to breed lately.

Lucy, you do know which country has permanent supreme command of NATO, right? He may have moved it to an offshore shell corporation, but it still comes right back to the United States.

What's happening with Libya? We are still in a "wait and see," mode, but it's now been going for weeks, not days, and the biggest things we've learned about the rebels is that not only are they stupid enough to fire weapons in the air, they have shit for an understanding of operational security. It's 4 a.m. in Libya right now. I wonder if Kuhdaffy's troops are done painting the tops of all their vehicles yellow yet.

as far as I know you may call a rightie a bigot, but Ive yet to see you disagree with blanket terms like libtard. Or Dims or other "All lefties are......fill in your favourite insult" then you are no where to be found.
Have you noticed that apart from you, only two people I consider the right of the aisle have made comments, and it isnt because they are upset about being branded righties or feel hated.

Sighs, what would make you happy Rich, for Obama to pronounce that the US is leaving NATO? thats the only way out of any NATO involvement and you can bet your bottom dollar the military machine would never allow that.
Of course I know, Ive been aware of NATO and the UN since a very early age. OF course its going to be very closely watched and be in wait and see mode.   Thats what being part of an alliance means...
So while it may be behind curtains, it always has been, and wont change unless NATO Is disbanded and I dont see anyone except protectionists wanting that to happen.
So you propose taking over from the rebels or leaving them to die in ignorance or give them the tools to be able to be secure on their own,?
By the way... Ghadflyys men have painted themselves yellow too.

Didn't Gates, your Secretary for Defence, announce just that - the US was standing down from the Libyan situation - last week? Isn't that consistent with the stated goal of foreign intervention ie. "prevention of genocide" and "saving civilian lives".

There are a few other sectors where similar actions by the US would receive widespread acclaim. Are you in favour of US withdrawal from Iraq and/or Afghanistan too?

Afghanistan last week, Tweak. Iraq is our (the US') problem, but we seem to be stepping away finally, without giving Al Qaeda a victory parade. I don't think the mess in the ME is going to get better before it gets a whole lot worse, though. Our latest incursion isn't going to help.

I have called sanity on the libtard thing many times. Maybe you should start paying more attention. And yes I do get sick of the bs attacks on the right. Now I did take a moment to go look at the thread you mention on gas prices. The op was about OB, not a surprise since sanity started it. The next post was a crack on OB from popeye and the next three started the usual bs. I missed the posts that you suggested made the right posters look as bad as the rights, so maybe you could point them out.

Twice, thats not many times, . However I have neither the time or the inclination to do any more searching, I owe you an apology, I was out of order last night, and the posts I was talking about were in another thread and one in particular is missing so its irrelevant now. I read your post at the wrong time and  jumped down your throat.  I should not have been so petty.
