If I want to draw a bath for my girl, complete with candles?. Does it make me less or more of a dominant? I have no problem with doing it. But, sometimes I feel my peers don't agree.

My owner did that for me once a few years ago after he gave me an enema (kind of a humble you and then pamper you).  But quite frankly it just made me horribly uncomfortable.

I think that the only problem that you are having with this scenario is the fact that you are letting the influences or perceptions of your "peers" affect you....
If you want to draw a bath with candles..... or provide the gentle, tender massage, then SO BE IT!
Being sensual is one of the highest realms you want to acheive in my opinion..... or at least incorporate it every now and then if your playtime if more ....'brutal'  lets say for lack of better term....    it brings variety into it.
Dont let your "peers" decide what you like, want, or DO!

It makes you a caring and devoted partner. I feel that those qualities are more important, honestly, than what my peers might think about my relationship.
