Not really sure how to introduce myself here. I'm definitely a strong dominant male, but not like many of the profiles I've seen on this site.

I've just come out of a very long "vanilla" relationship where we occasionally played bondage games, and I want more. However, I haven't completely entered the BDSM scene mentality yet. I'm still a classy guy who wants to take a girl out on the town, cuddle on the couch with a movie on, go for a hike or bike ride with, and all the usual stuff - I don't even want bondage sex 100% of the time.

Not sure where I fit into the whole dominant spectrum, because I don't want someone who wants to be constantly belittled, made to bleed, etc but I want a girl who is comfortable with being tied up in bed, and who likes BDSM games. I can be crafty and cruel, but not in an overtly brutal way.

The girl of my dreams is also artistic, pragmatic, intelligent, devoted, well-read and caring. Although I'm definitely an outgoing, athletic alpha male type, I have a tender side that the right girl can unlock. First of all, welcome!

Secondly, don't believe everything you read on profiles on sites like this, or see on bdsm porn, or read in bdsm novels.

Many people have relationships where it appears very ordinary and vanilla to the rest of the world, but between the partners there is either a D/s or M/s dynamic or they play kinky bondage games in the bedroom and are equals outside of that.

Be wary of slapping a label on yourself - take your time, explore, get out and meet kinksters at events and you'll see that we are all just people, underneath it all.

Have a think about what it is you want. Is it just a bit of kinky sex every now and then? Do you want to be the alpha in the relationship? Do you want to impose rules for your partner to follow?

There is no right or wrong way to do bdsm, just what is right or wrong for YOU and your partner.
