ORIGINAL: ChatteParfaitt And in 90% of the cases, that is exactly what is happening, b/c Dad works, Mom works, everyone is so busy.....who is responsible for making sure kids eat right? It's easy to blame the mother, but a mother who has to work has way too many responsibilities, too little time, and is pulled in all directions. The more kids you have the worse that is and being a single mother -- worse again. I suspect those decrying the cost of a lunch, if you were that single mother with 4 kids, you would so much less likely to be willing to play the blame game. I have a problem with this statement. My thinking--and I was a single mother of one--is that if you make babies, you now have to take care of them. I made many sacrifices in order to make sure that my daughter got what she needed from her parent, even though I was working & for a few years, working & going to school, she was still my number one priority. I know this isn't a popular thought, but I think if you can't take care of them, you shouldn't be making them. There are so many ways to prevent making babies these days. So why are these people who aren't making their children a priority getting a pass from you??
