I read your post in Jeff Goldblum's voice.

"Chaos."

What a great intro!

It seems that the forums have recently seen a plethora of intros with the themes of either "Worship me with your wallet" or "I've been on this site for two days and slaves/subs have not thrown themselves at me".

So refreshing to read a well-written, intelligent introduction.

Welcome and best of luck in your search.

Agreed! Good luck in your search.

In my divorce, my ex gave me all our toys but the ball gag. Not sure what that was about O_o

The sad thing is, she HAD her own "line" of custom-made toys.  All of the toys I'd made for her use had handles and/or trim in a nice faux suede patterned material I found, and all of mine has dark green vinyl (pleather) or black suede lace.  She had several assorted paddles, crops, floggers, even matching blindfolds.  There was no reason to take the original bastard......

If I get around to it later I'll post some pics of "my" customized toys and my collection of spreader bars and other fun stuff.

GB and FF, trust me, I've thrown out a few projects over the years.  You have to experiment a bit.  As far as affording stuff, that's one of the main reasons I started making my own.  You'd be amazed what you can make out of 1" webbing strap, and it sells for $0.19 a foot at my local hardware store.  The hammered rivets were around $5-6 for 100 pieces (50 sets) and the setting tool was about $4 (I use a 2lb ball peen hammer with it, use what you got).  I saw something similar to that "cross clip" out of leather for around $85, that piece cost about $16, and I'm sure I could have got the clips online cheaper.

Now, when I can afford a nice MIG/TIG welder and some classes, THEN we'll get into the truly diabolical stuff.  I've always wanted to build a rotisserie rack......

Okay, got quite a few pics of my other creations posted, but I decided to start a new thread on them here:

since I figured that's where they belonged.
