txironhead -> Greetings, earthlings.... (4/13/2011 8:59:24 PM)

Okay, I just wanted to put something fun in the subject.

I have been a member of this site for some time now, lurking in the background.  I originally joined back when I was married, as my wife and I had discussed the possibility of "sharing" a sub.  Our marriage went south shortly after, and now I am here single, interested in learning more.

Few things about me:  I am a dominant.  I have actually given this a lot of thought and introspect, I didn't just think "hey, it would be fun to tie people up and spank them".  I experimented with both sides of the coin while married, and I honestly enjoy exploring someone's boundaries and helping people encounter new experiences.

I make a lot of my own toys.  I leave insertables to the professionals for now, but I have a decent collection of restraints, paddles, floggers, crops and other fun little gadgets.  I am designing and planning some small, concealable furniture for future projects.  It's a challenge in an apartment, but my band saw fits nicely in the coat closet.

I am constantly learning.  I am currently studying "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns", which is a definite eye-opener to some thought processes.

I am not heavily experienced.  I was dom for my wife, to a limited extent (it was definitely a "bedroom-only" thing for her), and for one other sub after that I stopped having any relationship with once I realized that she was mentally unstable and I was not going to risk doing lasting harm.  I understand that 90% of BDSM happens in the mind, and I knew that continuing play with her could end badly, for one or both of us.  On a brighter note, she eventually took everyone's advice and got the help she needed and last I heard was in a healthy, albeit vanilla, relationship.

I have never been to a "Munch" or any kind of BDSM gathering or party.  All that I have learned has been through research and personal practice.  I would like to be able to see how others, more experienced than I, train and interact with their submissives.  I would like to meet and get advice and tips from others.  I know that these forums are a great place to talk with like-minded people, and hopefully I will find an event that is somewhat local to me.

I am looking for a submissive, but not very actively.  I would not mind finding an experienced sub that would be able to teach me the finer points while allowing me to maintain the dominant aspect.  Or it may be best to find someone suitable and we both learn as we go.  I'm open to suggestions.

So that is me.  Feel free to ask questions or for clarification on any points.

Welcome to collarme!

Just do a search on "BDMS <location>" to see what might be close to you.  Where the heck is Freeport anyway?  If it's close to Dallas or Houston you should have lots of opportunities.

Welcome to Collarme! I hope you enjoy your time here.

One of the first lessons of the boards is to be very very careful about generalizations.
Just because we type on a keyboard and can sometimes form whole sentences, please
dont assume that we are all earthlings!

My apologies.  I come in peace.  Okay, I may tie someone up and spank them, but it will be with the best of intentions......oh, crap, is that an Illudium PU-36 Space Modulator?

Southeast of the Armpit of Hell, due north of the Pit of Despair.  It's in Brazoria County, about an hour and a half from anywhere decent in Houston.  That's a long ride back on a motorcycle at 2am....

Welcome!

txironhead -> RE: Greetings, earthlings.... (4/14/2011 6:41:23 AM)

Did a search here, found that the last post with any event happening in Houston (or even Texas, for that matter) was posted a year ago.  I did find a link to some groups in Houston, maybe they'll have a "satellite" group.

Thanks for the many warm welcomes.

If I can find the data cord, I'll post some pics of my creations.

I've had that nickname for years, about eight years ago I had a '74 Sportster "Ironhead" chopper.  I sold it long ago, but the name stuck.  Now I've got a Honda Shadow bobber until I can get something big enough for long road trips.

Cross clip made from a large welded steel ring, 4 heavy duty swivel chrome clips, 1" webbing strap and hammered rivets.

My latest paddle creation, 1/2" x 3" Aspen (or Poplar, can't remember right now), drilled with 1/2" holes, leather-laced handle, hanging eyelet and black latex enamel.  I call it Holey Hell.

Very nice work

Slip tiedowns, these are meant to provide restraint points in places where you can't or don't want a permanent eyebolt or other point.  1" webbed strap won't mar most surfaces.  These are great on four-poster beds.  Welded triangle rings, webbed strap and hammered rivets.

Basic large pine paddle, 1/2" x 3", I nicknamed this The Bastard, because every time I brought out the last one like this I made, that's what my wife called it.  Or maybe she was talking about me...... Anyway, she ended up keeping that one in the divorce so I made another.  This one is awaiting a nice medium stain followed by clear polyurethane to protect it. I have already hand-sanded this one progressively up to 600 grit, it is silky smooth and almost shines on it's own.

What a great intro!

It seems that the forums have recently seen a plethora of intros with the themes of either "Worship me with your wallet" or "I've been on this site for two days and slaves/subs have not thrown themselves at me".

So refreshing to read a well-written, intelligent introduction.

Welcome and best of luck in your search.

Welcome to CM, Tex.
