Perhaps having a profile that lists you as a professional sex worker for hire inspires their interest.  You know the old joke,

a:  Would you blow me for million dollars?
b: Sure.
a: How about $50.00 ?
b: What do you think I am ?
a: We already established that, now we are negotiating price.

. . . in your case they would be negotiating for a different type of service.

It may be annoying but don't fret the small stuff ... we mature ladies get those emails too.

Yay for filter?

ResidentSadist -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 1:59:25 PM)

Ya' know Kali, I get tired of bullshit fake threads from sex workers when business gets slow.  I work in the sex industry on and off.  I pay for ads or get paid to design and build web sites etc.  You don't see a bunch of crap in my profile about making money.  I don't sell my trade here.

ETA:  Seriously, a pro selling herself on CollarMe, druming up business through email, is going to complain about getting mail . . . really?  You mean to say she is so overbooked, business is so good, she has to come in here to complain that 1 in 3 letters are from Domly types which won't make her any money?  Some sex worker bitching that not every email at collarme is from a potential client and she expects us to have empathy for that . . . really?

What a fool.

You'd have laughed your ass off if you would have seen the similar thread in the Mistress section recently from a different OP.  No kidding!  Real Darwin award winner type stuff.

I would say that a man identifying as a Dom but emailing to be her slave is actually a HNG who would be a great potential client if she were able to pry him away from his computer.

If there is no sex with a Pro Domme can they be considered sex workers? Does his solitary orgasm suffice?

Great questions.  I guess it comes down to perspectives and few questions.

Do you think live cam girls are sex workers if they can't touch and actually have sex with their clients?
Is a porn model with a picture web site in the sex industry a sex worker?
Do you believe escorts, masseuses or Dominatrices really don't have sex with clients in real life sessions?
Most nation's laws catagorizes escorts,  Dominatrices, cam girls and adult "full body" masseuses as sex workers or prostitutes.

I think that sums up my perspectives, which of course don't necessarily have to align with yours.  Prostitution is not illegal everywhere.  However, using CollarMe to promote any business, sexual or otherwise, is against the TOS.

RedMagic1 -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 3:06:28 PM)

I've gone to a pro domme before, and probably will again. Being service topped is fun. I'm not going to stop getting nonsexual massages either. It is easy to find women who like being spanked, hard to find one who turns the tables sometimes. I'm not going to deny myself a pleasure just because it makes me fake in the eyes of people I don't even know.

In a lot of states, it does.  Sexual stimulation and/or orgasm by a client during time compensated by funds can even rack up a prostitution charge in many places.  This is why so many pro dommes urge others to be aware of the state and local laws that apply.

ResidentSadist -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 3:18:54 PM)

. . . and just to put this into perspective about my assessment of her and my subsequent reply:

What she said:  “Professional, sadistic Dominatrix”
What it means:  She is a pro for hire, working in the BDSM leather fetish branch of the prostitution industry.

What she said:  “available for travel”
What it means:  She does what escorts refer to as “outcall” and will travel to service you in the convenience of a location of your choice.

What she said:  “all fetishes considered”
What it means:  If you got the dime, she has the time.  She will service you in with any kink you wish, so long as you are paying.

What she didn’t say . . . was that there were any restrictions, any personality types, any particular kink, any emotional requirements or any physical requirements.
What that meant:  Married, single, divorced, old, young, skinny, fat, near or far, your ONLY requirement is that if you got cash, she's got the ass.

I don't think I misinterpret her ad in guise of a profile anymore than I did her fake ass post to drum up business.

OwnedFemaleFlesh -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 4:08:21 PM)

Lots of switches feel that they can't be honest about their desire to switch because it harms their imagine as UberTrueDom. So they call themselves a Dom, but carry on messaging Dommes. They often say things like 'I could only submit to you' I think if you speak to most Dommes, it's fairly common (from what I have heard)

MsLadySue -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 4:17:11 PM)

Yes, you're right. I get emails from Doms about once a month asking if I would help them get in touch with their submissive side.

Edited to remove a word.

I kinda resent you calling these men Doms.  To me, a Dom is someone who wants to be in control.  I suspect that they're really simply horny, and think it's easy to get laid by claiming to be Dom.  Then they read your profile and figure the easiest way to your *ahem* heart is to say they're sub.

Think of it as a clueless compliment to you.

LafayetteLady -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/24/2011 5:09:06 PM)

What he said.

Let's be realistic here. A "pro" looking for clients is looking for guys to pay her to get them off. Contrary to what she says on her profile, she won't "own" her clients past the end of the session.

Ain't we all taking a giant leap assuming these cats who write are doms?
My guess is it's the usual phony crowd spamming for attention.
As to why she gets it...shit...she's a female (or at least claims to be-HTF do I know for sure, but that's true bout pretty much everyone here), she's breathing, she has a pic-that's all you need to attract flies in this joint.

Hisprettybaby -> RE: why do Doms keep emailing me? (4/25/2011 1:39:59 PM)

~FR~
I think some guys will say anything to get a piece of ass. Quite some time back, when I was single, a guy wrote to me. When he reached my Inbox it was dark blue=Dominant. By the third letter his name appeared light blue. I, of course, noticed that, had him all figured out and asked "Wait a minute, are you sub? Or switch? Cause you're sure not Dom." He admitted he was a submissive but wanted to get to know me. I told him he had zero chance because he tried lying to me in the first place. Not everything is as it appears to be at the outset.
