Kitten, You say you have been divorced from him for 12 years, do you have kids with/by him? I ask because I wonder if there is this type of need to stay in contact with him. Or is it just friendship, the reason for being in contact? If so, you don't put up with your casual friends treating you this way, do you? Try telling his ass, if you want to remain my friend then you will treat me nicer, or remove yourself from my life, period. oopsie the me is showing again

If you truly love someone, you will always love them even after you have parted ways. They can even be mean (like a couple of My ex's were to Me), but you still love them because at one time they were very much a part of you and you shared a lot together. It is My opinion and experience that your post was way off the mark.

Some people you just can't get out of your blood, regardless of the reason that you got them out of your life. I can name at least 5 people that I think of fondly that I also detest, which always annoys me. There's just some very good memories attached to them. Not sure what i would do if they wanted to be a part of my life again. Just hope I wouldn't make the same mistakes that time around that I did the last time through it all. Part of that whole living and learning thing, I guess. - Dustyn

i want to thank everyone who has posted on this topic... i have not read it for sometime and just today thought about it... Yes we do have one child... He is great father.... and i too agree with Sir Kenin... It is a healthy form of love.... i have always remained friends with any of my former lovers.... it is just how i am....

I've parted ways with folks who've done things to me I could not learn to live with or because I've found them to be mean spirited or self centered assholes. The former I can love forever despite splitting up with them, the latter I cannot and do not love. M
