I can see such a conversation happening amongst those who have open or poly relationships, and believe in compersion, even if it is only one partner who is having relationships outside the primary one.

Yes. It's called "poly".

My two cheerfully pinch-hit for each other, depending on who's got what time and energy level. They're generally grateful to have the other one around as backup. The situation with us is more or less as you describe it, only I tend to announce that I want some entertainment and ask which one of them has the time and energy. It's not impossible the answer will be neither of them, in which case if we're already at a play party, they will both cheer me on while I find someone else to do bad things to.

With their wicked sense of humor, I really wouldn't put it past them to bump fists in a WWF "tag in" pro wrestling move while arranging which of them will be in my bed on a given night. Unfortunately, people automatically link the inclusion of humiliation into cuckholdery, when that isn't necessarily the case. I tend to use the term in the broader sense. That being any dynamic where the Dominant female may have multiple lovers while the submissive is not permitted the same. The element of emotional distress related to that situation isn't necessarily a requirement for the male to be considered a cuck. Some cuckhold situations have nothing to do with humiliation and are much more related to voyeurism instead.
