The board can sometimes be tough on people. Just think of it as a baptism by fire.

I think it's a rather interesting question. If the person who was given the money wasn't what they pretended to be at all, it might be fraud whether the money was requested or volunteered. For instance, if someone places an ad claiming they represent the red cross and I voluntarily send them a donation - that's fraud.

It was a lesson learned though I hope. DON'T send money to strangers on the internet.

Okay... this is one of the best things I've read in a while. I can't stop laughing. Reading the profile... the torture... the things she will do and break and all for their pay check... then she wants to know if some guy offering money to meet someone has been scammed???

The best part was when she said she could tell a fake in the first email.

Best bedtime story I have read in a while... [:D] Advertising foolishness is what this is.

Cause I'd rather ask on here than have him embarrass himself. Does anybody want to answer my question? You're all being rather rude.

Most of us don't suffer fools very gladly.

And why do I have the oh so sneaking suspicion that your friend does not exist? That you took someone for $400 and in retrospect want to know if the law can trace you?

As has been suggested, if you or your "friend" has a legal issue, go to a lawyer. A BDSM discussion board is not likely to provide much help.

However, we give great snark. [sm=argue.gif]

Interestingly enough everything written in the profile is gone now. I'm going with ChatteParfaitt on this one, it seems to be her that got the money and is wondering what the repercussions might be.

If what I read in her profile is true, the repercussions could be prison time. However my guess is the only thing he has to fear is his mom finding out what he is doing online and losing computer privileges.

She stripped her profile seconds after I made my post and is supposedly offline though she is still lurking in the forum.

For the lurking OP: Do less drugs, more thinking.

Darn, and here I was hoping for a weekly journal installment series...."Jane and dick play games, the story of a young domme, a bone saw and her victim for life...piece by piece"

[:D]

AgonySchmagony -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:17:27 PM)

I didn't strip my profile. It's still there. Or should be.

Also, my profile is obviously fake. Nothing wrong with that. The responses I get are pretty funny and the conversations are even better. You can't tell me you didn't laugh at "This is just what I have been waiting for my entire life!"

But yeah, you got me. Some guy thought it was real and kept bothering me to meet him. I kept telling him no, leave me alone. Eventually I made him start telling me the weather and news every morning. Then one day he told me he was going to be near where I live on a business trip and wanted to pay me $400 to meet him. I was like, fine, if you want to be a dipshit I won't complain, and I took the money. And now I'm kind of afraid to spend it. Can you blame me?

littlewonder -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:22:41 PM)

your being afraid to spend it is your answer.

If it's not illegal it would be immoral imo but hey I'm not your moral conscience.

shakes head not understanding why people create these fake profiles.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:25:29 PM)

You still have a profile, but all the text is gone.

Now, why would you do that if it was a fake profile just to "josh" people?

Not at all, in fact now that you have admitted it in a public forum, he has proof.

Be afraid, be very afraid.[:(]

AgonySchmagony -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:30:53 PM)

I'm shaking in my socks!

And yeah I don't know what happened to my profile.

Lockit -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:33:43 PM)

You most likely did it through paypal. If so... just click the little button that sends the money back.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:34:33 PM)

I'm thinkin the whole thing is made up by some kid in mom's basement.

AgonySchmagony -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:37:04 PM)

I was kidding. I didn't actually do it.

I'm sure you'll all have douchey replies to that statement as well. I figure these forums would be a good place to have an interesting conversation about whether the millions of financial domination scams that occur on here every day are legal or not. But I guess everybody would rather just be assholes.

Seriously.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:38:46 PM)

So I was right.

AgonySchmagony -> RE: Financial Domme Scam??? (5/1/2011 8:39:34 PM)

Do you have to be assholes? Like go back and read all the replies to this thread. Welcome to the community indeed.

You didn't strip it, but it's no longer there.  If you have any questions, you can write to Support.
