This guy bleeds so dramatically.....[:D]

I heard today that the SEALs thought osama bin-gotten was going for a weapon.Makes perfect sense.

I hear President Obama`s poll numbers are up and the stock market is going through the roof.

[:D]

Better fix your hearing then. The market reaction has been a big yawn (not surprising since its a relatively meaningless event to the economy), and is down signficantly today.

Poll numbers? So they get a 10% bump for a few weeks. They will drop with every $4.25 gallon of gas and every million or so unemployment benefits that run out.

Not to hijack the thread, but for your edification, it is the Democrats who keep trying to extend unemployment benefits and REPUBLICANS who keep trying to stop that from happening.

Obama asks congress to extend unemployment and the republicans fight it. Sorry, but there is no way that the media, with the exception of FOX news, can portray that as his fault.

Most people don't think "who didnt extend unemployment benefits", they think "the economy still sucks"....and it is Obama's economy...no matter how the MSM tries to spin its excuses for him.

housesub4you -> RE: Bin Laden was unarmed when killed, White House says (5/4/2011 3:55:26 PM)

Really????  So Obama is President so he is responsibility for the economy, no one else.  Not any former president who left a huge deficit, not any members of Congress that want to give tax breaks to people who do not need it and are screwing over the little the guy.

However, Obama is President, the one who issued the order to find Osma and kill him. But a former President who stopped the CIA from looking for him in 2005 gets credit for killing Osma bin laden??????   Is that how it works...

Everything that sucks is Obama fault, and everything good is because of Bush and the GOP????  wow  never mind facts

Sanity -> RE: Bin Laden was unarmed when killed, White House says (5/4/2011 3:59:22 PM)

The stock market: http://finance.yahoo.com/

And the supposed bump in the polls was maybe the same as W got when Saddam was captured.

I think people are on to he fact that Obama didnt really kill Osama single handed

1. You might want to check the sources of the current and projected deficits.
2. No former President stopped the CIA from looking for him.

Those are the facts.

Thats actually close to a compliment as description about him...considering that most of the time animals only kill to survive themselves...and not out of fun...or certainly not on the level he did [8|]

Housesub, you forgot that it was Saint Ronnie that ended the cold war with the collapse (from economic problems that make our economy look robust) of the Soviet Union.

It was Saint Bush sr. who got Saddam out of Kuwait, then passed sweeping new taxes on EVERYBODY.

It was Saint Bush jr. who took a budget surplus and turned it into a budget deficit, who financed two wars with loans from CHINA, who decided OBL was not that high of priority for intelligence services, who decided that the United States could use 'enhanced' interrogation techniques to get information, and who got wire tapping without court orders approved.

And they say that Liberals are out to destroy the constitution?

Revisionist Right wing history writing... AGAIN

quote:

WASHINGTON, July 3 — The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday.

The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said.

The decision is a milestone for the agency, which formed the unit before Osama bin Laden became a household name and bolstered its ranks after the Sept. 11 attacks, when President Bush pledged to bring Mr. bin Laden to justice "dead or alive."

The realignment reflects a view that Al Qaeda is no longer as hierarchical as it once was, intelligence officials said, and a growing concern about Qaeda-inspired groups that have begun carrying out attacks independent of Mr. bin Laden and his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Agency officials said that tracking Mr. bin Laden and his deputies remained a high priority, and that the decision to disband the unit was not a sign that the effort had slackened. Instead, the officials said, it reflects a belief that the agency can better deal with high-level threats by focusing on regional trends rather than on specific organizations or individuals.
C.I.A. Closes Unit Focused on Capture of bin Laden

Some nice Bush quotes for you. Feel free to look them up your self.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)
