Hi

When I submit, it takes my mind away from thoughts of work, money, bills, mortgage blah blah etc... I feel like a vessel, or an object, being used, my thoughts and focus are on what I have to do for the Domme and nothing else matters, it kind of puts me at peace. Do other subs feel the same or is it something different?

Also if you are a Dominant person, what is it that you feel? What do you get from dominating someone? I can't imagine it. Is it similar?

It depends on what i am submitting to. When i submit to his physically sadistic side i feel pain and often i amaze myself how far i am able to go. When i submit to being his cleaning slave i feel irritation lol because i hate cleaning. When i submit submit sexually i lose myself in the sensations. There are more feelings and more opportunities of submitting but you get the idea.

Since the majority of my submission revolves around keeping the house, paying the bills on time, and working, submission doesn't take my mind off those things.  But it does often bring me a sense of peace.

depends on what he requires of me that day, our moods, etc....some days I wonder what the hell did I get myself into, other days I'm at peace, some days I'm not sure what to think and most days it's just life.

It really depends on the circumstances.  Sometimes, when scrubbing the bathroom, I think "This is a drag, I'd rather be kicking back," but I also feel good about what I'm doing, whether he notices or not, because I like to know he comes home to a clean house and never has to think about taking care of it.

Sometimes when I have a lot to do on a given day, I feel rushed.

When I'm cooking for him, I feel happy, because I love to cook for him.  Except when the whole family sometimes thinks they need to do XYZ in the kitchen when I'm cooking up a storm in there, then I have to hold back a little frustration.

When I'm just sitting at his feet watching TV with him (this is actually a service to him), I feel relaxed and happy to be near him.

When I'm massaging him, sometimes I feel tired, since he tends to want this at the end of the day when I'm sleepy.

When I'm submitting to his sexual/sadistic whims, I'm pretty swept away in bliss.  Or sometimes a little scared. [:)]

When I make dinner I tend to focus on not burning anything.  It doesn't make me feel used or a vessel.  It's just something that needs done and I do because serving is part of what I do.

For me, the mask of civility drops away, there's a heightening of focus and and an intense awareness of my responsibility for her well-being.

It's also hot as fuck.

When I bottom, if it goes just right, I stop thinking and just feel the sensations. But submission just means letting him take the lead. So even though I had no great desire to run into town last night, I found my shoes and purse and went.

It's a thrill, a rush of adrenaline. I get flush with power, a little in love with myself for being able to inspire submission in another human being. More than anything else, though, I become acutely aware of the bond of trust which has formed between us, the instantaneous and reckless connection so rare to find in vanilla life which D/s somehow facilitates despite my often having known the person for a matter of hours. It's all but a spiritual or religious experience in many ways, which is odd since I am neither remotely religious nor remotely spiritual.

while i definitely find a welcome level of peace and a renewal of my own energy as a result of my submission, i also find that i am hyper focused on all of the sounds, smells, and sensations around me. Like being alive on a higher level.

I don't feel much really. I dominate Carol because it's practical. Ownership is a different thing in our house and that does generate feelings but they're hard to describe -- good, primal, "all is right in the world". Your phrase "at peace" isn't too far off how owning Carol makes me feel.

Carol feels very different from you regarding submission. Mostly I think it annoys her although she likes the end result of pleasing me.
