After the topic “Femdom sites that are FOR femdoms?” I have this idea.

If a new web site is lunched for Dommes. What it should include?

What is you don’t find on the net and wants this new site to have?

I’m a computer programmer. I can build such site. With that I can serve all Dommes to find what they want. In addition I can help subs to educate themselves.

Status: offline 		1.  No glitzy crap, pop up windows for advertising porno sites, non-tasteful photos or other stuff that is more designed to appeal to the horny "submissive" male than to be of any use or interest to women.  Keep all explicit imagery off the main page and in a section or gallery that you have to click on purpose in order to view.  I don't like tits or dicks shoved in my face in real life, and I don't like it on a website either. 

2. In the image area that you can click on if you're in the mood to see explicit photos, fewer images of glitzy femdoms and more of attractively presented males, please.  I like looking at bound and beaten boys.  I just want to look at them when *I* specifically choose to. 

3.  Lots of informational resources and links.  Articles about toys, techniques, safety, relationships, etc.

4.  Friendly place for femdoms and femdom couples to chat.  POLITE single male subbies would be welcome to socialize, but it would be nice to have a place where we could relax and not get harrassed by wannabe "subs" who send us explicit penis pictures and go into drooling detail about how they want to give us oral sex.  That's yucky, and it's one of the things that makes it difficult for women to relax and enjoy themselves on a BDSM site.  

Just my two cents, for whatever that's worth these days with inflation.

And I agree, it would be awesome if there was a place where we could socialize, exchange ideas and glean information from each other without the "drooling hng" hanging on every word.

Also... for Goddess' sake, make it a site for WOMEN, not just another male wanker material site.  Make it a friendly place, where the emphasis is on friendship and information exchange rather than porn. 

And if you've gotta have graphic photos, at least put them in their own section.... I hate even opening alt dotcom because you're instantly deluged with cocks, cunts and tits.  Yuck.

Status: offline 		It'd be nice if there could be some way to verify user's, perhaps by use of registering a valid non-free-email-account email address.  The message boards and chat rooms would be available to everyone, but there would be certain forums and chat rooms available to ONLY validated users.

All this... and still remain free. Yeah, right  <sigh>

I'm moderately active in FAD (Female Artists of Domination, www.femaleartistsofdomination.com), which meets in Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Greensboro.  I can usually make the Raleigh events, but the others are a bit of a commute for me.  I am planning to be at the FAD retreat which I think is close to the VA border.   Given enough notice and somewhere to stay as that's a 3-4 hour drive from me, it would be good fun to make this sort of event.  I'd suggest cross-posting it to the FAD list as we have members in this area.

In addition to what's already been suggested....
A seperate forum for D/s-M/s. Here at collarme, there's no "safe haven" forum to get away from all the fetish/BDSM and just talk about power exchange dynamics. (Unless one wants to hang out in the Gorean forum.)

Someone said pictures of real people. I second this!!! I'd LOVE to see people's family albums of Mistress sitting on the sofa watching TV and laughing while slaves are sitting on the floor playing a board game. Or of Mistress and slave playing frisbee in the park, or subbie cooking breakfast in normal jeans and a T-shirt while Ma'am is in her pajamas enjoying a cup of coffee. I get so deathly sick of dungeon/bondage pictures I could puke.
And I like to see "normal" women. Women who don't derive their authority through their model perfect wardrobe and make-up. Show me fat Dominas in sun dresses, short Dominas tiptoeing to reach something, poor Dominas sunbathing outside their trailer, Ladies in hair-rollers, laughing while subbie paints her toes. Let us show the world that we are *real* women, who do *real* things, without feeling like we have to dress in PVC, have our hair professionally done, and cake on make-up just so our photos will "measure up".

Some kind of database that will show us which users are close to us geographically. Like, if I wanted to have a get-together, let me see which users are within 100 miles (or 500 or whatever) that I could invite.

Mail forwarding. When I open Outlook, I get messages that say "you have a message on collarme". Sometimes I'd like to know what that message is without having to log in.  Same with forums. I liked the way yahoo group messages can show up in my inbox & I can respond to them from my outlook email, all without ever having to open a browser.

I know some might disagree here, but I'd really like a way to keep male subs out. (or at least out of certain forums). Most days, I don't mind at all communicating with the community at large, but damn, some days I get SO TIRED of seeing the same freaking questions over and over, just phrased differently and by a new user. (I'm thinking here along the lines of "Do any women here enjoy strap-ons? What do you like about them?" and similar questions.)

A place for recipe exchange. I see a lot of vegans, low-carb, dieters, etc... but never a place for people to discuss which recipes their subbies can cook.

I wish collarme would make a forum called "Sex, Sexuality, All things sexy, kinky sex, sex freaks, sex play, bedroom bondage, and sex toys." Then, once the flood of people went there, I could see who was left in the main forum to chit-chat with.

Funny you should mention about the clothes... I was thinking just this morning about that.  I am a Dominant.  Why is there this insistent stereotype that in order to BE Dominant, a woman must wear corsets and latex?  If I wear flannel PJs and bunny slippers, I am still Domme.  If I wear ripped jeans, baggy t-shirt and Birkies, I am still Domme, no less so than when I wear my corset, my stiff, rustling satin skirt and fishnets.   I am who I am, regardless of what I wear.

*chuckles*  To me, that's what a group is for - networking and doing social things.  That's largely what FAD does, though there are certainly play opportunities at some of the events.  I don't attend primarily for the play, and it's not unusual for some of us in the group to spend all or most of the evening in the social area chatting.

Nothing wrong with kinky bedroom games if you're honest about your orientation, but there's not much more annoying than a kinky fetishist who wants it served exactly his way but calls himself a submissive.  And I am not a McDomme's where a sub can just drive through and order.  "I want a Kinky Quarter Pounder in fishnet stockings, hold the bondage, extra Special Sauce lube for my ass fucking, with a side order of oral sex.  Because I truly want to serve."  Uh huh. 

Kinky fetishists need to be up front and honest about their orientation and desires to prospective partners, or there is going to be a seriously dysfunctional mismatch of expectations.  As Jay Wiseman says, when one partner is naked and tied up and the other is standing over them holding a whip, now is not the time to have a mismatch of expectations.  Get it straight and honest up front please, or the consequences can be really unfortunate.
