No, I would not opt for any sort of transplant or hairpiece or whatever. I keep my hair cut really short - like #1 comb short. I wish I could freeze it at that length. I really like the bald look on me. We've shaved my head a couple times. Love the look but it's too much hassle to do on a daily basis and I have a birthmark on the back of my head that I don't like. If I ever come by it naturally I'll take it.

Some men look great bald. It is all about confidence.

I love hair, but would prefer bald to the atrocious comb overs you still see, ewww.

I think it would be awful for a woman to lose her hair, but then again, I am so vain about mine that I am only speaking for myself.

My Mom started getting thinner hair so she took biotin, and it is growing in thicker, so perhaps try that.

When a woman loses her hair it is pretty sad and often due to stress. It can take 6 months for the stress to have a reaction and then handfuls of hair may come out. Evening Primrose Oil, Silica Salts are a couple of good supplements to help with hair loss. Most of the time the sitch rights itself and the hair begins to come back but at times there is a permanent loss.

Women have problems with hair loss as well, but I rarely see a balding woman (unless it's from chemo and that's temporary). My guess is, most women do something about it. Do you think that's because society expects women to fix it but not men? Why shouldn't it work both ways either way?

Hair loss through chemo can be temporary, however I have been told my hair loss is permanent. Due to the location of the screws holding the plate in my skull I am not able to wear a wig, so I am now proud to be bald. Some people stare but I have got used to it.

I am currently balding, very slightly in the front. I don't mind at all; just have to keep the hair shorter and actually style it in the morning. I like to believe that by not hiding the balding, I am taken as more genuine. But that's just me.

I have been involved with a couple of men that were losing their hair. For me it is more attractive that a man has a natural hairline than goes through Herculean efforts to stave off hair loss. I think hair plugs look fake. I dislike toupees, too. I would rather see a guy with no hair than fake hair.

One of the sexier men I have seen on TV in recent years is Terry O'Quinn...

I could deal with a guy losing his hair (the way it looks, SO is heading this way in a few years, the forehead is expanding) after all it's only freaking hair, but I couldn't ever deal with a Donald Trump comb over, now that looks ridiculous...

On the other hand, if I'd lose my hair, I dunno what I'd do, possibly implants and a complete freak out...

yes, some women also have that problem, sometimes due to pregnacy, hormones or other events, stress will do it too. If the hair doesnt grow back naturally then there are some meds women can apparently take or they can do the hair transplant thing too, just like guys.

And yes, if I had that problem I would do something about it, research the meds (& side effects, etc), maybe try that first and go from there. Women do all sorts of things to make themselves attractive, exercise, color their hair, cosmetic surgery, botox, lazer treatments, so why not a hair transplant if a woman feels she needs it?

yes I would.

Why? I'm vain

My sister has alopecia and we've been told it could possibly be genetic. She used to wear wigs while taking meds for it. It eventually grew back but never as thick and she still loses patches when she's extremely stressed.

So there's always the possibility one day that my hair will thin even more than it is already. I have thin hair to begin with.

If it happens then hell yeah....transplants, extensions (which I'm already planning on getting in a few months just to make it thicker), whatever it takes.

I would research hair extensions very carefully. There are the kind that are just clip in and temporary or then there are the ones that are woven in and other methods of attachment. I was told by a stylist to be careful about extensions cuz they can cause your hair to fall out for some people. Yikes!

I have fine hair too and thats not what i want to have happen so me, personally i will go for the clip on type.
