Elliot, Elliot, Elliot!! He was definately the best

Taylor singing Bruce Springsteen was terrible

Everytime I try to call in and vote for Elliot though, I can not get through, it makes me wonder!

Mark My words.  The next idol will be Katherine.

I have to agree with you.  Katherine is the most talented of the three who remain.  And her rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was outstanding.

No ways! While Katherine is a beautiful young girl she sang that whole song while sitting on the floor. Even Taylors cheesy Elvis inspired dancing is more entertaining to watch.

Kat might get alot of sympathy votes since the judges are so harsh on her.

Also I think the music industry is overly flooded with young female singers right now.

Elliot has charm and beautiful eyes :)

Katherine would have looked pretty silly dancing around like Taylor during "Over the Rainbow".  I think her sitting on the floor (as many entertainers have done throughout history for staging and emotional impact) and just selling the beauty of the song was very appropriate.  I found myself all teary-eyed at the end and thought I was being dumb, but then a couple of co-workers told me they did the same thing.

I think it's Elliott's time to go and Katherine and Taylor will be in the finals.  Either could win, they both have their own kind of talent and appeal.  I think Katherine is the obvious choice, she's a "total package" with looks and talent.  But Taylor is just so darn likable and pretty easy on the eyes, too, and fun to watch.  He could very well win.  Guess we'll have to wait and see.

What close voting! 33% each. That made me feel alot better, though I tried 4 different times to vote for Elliot and could not get through. I am sad to see him go, he is so down to earth and humble. I can't wait for next week wow!

I don't really care about the finale.  What I'm really looking forward to seeing is what Chris is going to do.

Last year's finale was OK, but the wrong person won.  As much as I love country music, and even though she's already won a CMA award, I'm still not a Carrie fan, and I will probably never buy her cds.  On the other hand, I did buy Bo Bice's "The Real Thing," and it's great!

I also bought (runner up on Rock Star - INXS) Marty Casey's cd and it's awesome, too.

Maybe I just have a thing for the also-rans.

Agreed, amazingly close voting.  Well, I personally am in a win-win situation now.  I like both Kat and Taylor.  I don't care which one of them wins !

I've honestly never watched the show until maybe halfway through this season when My slave came to live with Me, and she's a self admitted idol junkie... so she's gotten Me somewhat hooked on it as well. I knew Taylor was good, and though I didn't think Elliot would win it all (just for appearance reasons, as I stated earlier in the thread) I damn sure didn't think he'd lose out to Kat.
I was actually mad last night when I seen the results, that he lost to Katherine McPhuckiforgotthewordsagain !!!

He can sing her under the table any day of the week.... consistently... just because she does a good rendition of one song, doesn't make up for her lacking skills all the weeks prior, in My opinion.
Go Taylor !!

You know, it's so great when You have a Master that actually speaks your mind for you!! LOL.. i, of course and not because i am biased or anything, but i agree 100% with Master.  You see, Extra messed up last night, and at 6:30pm ( 1 1/2 hours BEFORE the cast off ) they announced Elliot would be voted off... I WAS HOT! but i had to keep it a secret from Master the whole hour... it was not easy!!!!! so anyway.. i was sad to see Elliot to go .... but i'm excited to see Taylor take it all :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the premise of the show was it is done live and whilst the show is airing, folks vote on their favorite performers? Seems kinda strange to me if it weren't done in such a fashion. But I guess I have to agree with Arpig, as I just don't watch the show.

i have actually always questioned the "live" vote offs.... It's usually something that has been hinted during all five seasons that the actual shows where they reveal who is being voted off is done earlier in the afternoon.  I don't know, im not there to actually sit thru a taping or a live show.... LOL.. but, needless to say.... whether it be a guess or some "inside" information on "extra" .. i wasn't happy :(

Upon re-reading of Your post MrMister, ... Tuesdays, live performance, voting for two hours after the show.... Wednesdays, revealing of the votes and sending home the LOSSSER! so, anyway, sums it up in a nut shell.... hope this helps..
