ORIGINAL: DarkSteven There is another poster here on collarme who swaps profiles with me. We deliberately hunt out over-the-top profiles and send them to each other. The ones from twenty year old men claiming to be feared and respected local masters who then list their wank fetishes are common. So are some of the obvious fakes (one was a woman who listed twenty different food dishes she had experience in preparing and then fifteen different sex practices she was also experienced with). There are some who get off on describing how cruel and dehumanizing they are. One woman in her sixties wanted a discreet Dom to cheat on her husband with and was setting up a webcam business, all the while describing a trailer trash existence in which neighbors vandalized each other's properties based on jealousy over how new the other's pickup truck was. And one fond memory is the Dom guy in his forties who was proud of his impending MA in English Lit (no work experience listed), who then described his collection of action toys. One recent jewel had endless pontification of how Dom he was. When he saw I'd viewed his profile, he wrote me and demanded to know why, saying he didn't have the time to train me in how to be a Dom, and suggesting that my viewing him was likely an admission that I was really a sub at heart. He now has a journal entry ranting about my response to him. *LOL* That is too funny. It's true...it takes all types to make the world go 'round. Your post reminded me of a time when I was perving profiles and discovered one with a very familiar set of words. I did some checking, and sure enough this unimaginative critter had copied, verbatim, the profile of another dom I had exchanged messages with on CM. I knew it likely wasn't the other way around because a.) the one I knew actually conversed in the same style as his profile and b.) the unimaginative one had a more recent join date. When I informed the person I was acquainted with about his pilfered profile, he already knew about it. He wasn't sure whether to feel flattered or offended. *L* I don't understand why people get their knickers in a knot just because someone has viewed their profile. When I had my profile up, if someone viewed it and didn't message, I thought they were either just out perving, were curious because of a post here or else they just weren't interested in what they read. *sniff* Why do people invent stuff?
