SAMHAIN09 -> What comes to your mind when you see profiles like these? (5/10/2011 8:23:25 PM)

Okay I am sure you have seen profiles of people who claim to be perfect and I've seen a few who claimed to be god's and goddesses that demand to be worshiped Ive read one that wanted shrines made in their honor and another was so brazen as to want a religion. Then their are the really scary profiles who want to well I'm not going to sugar code it I have come across a few profiles that are pretty much soliciting prostitution (an act I find disturbing). What I am trying to ask is what comes to your mind when you see profiles like this?

Anytime I see someone touting the "fact" that they are a god or goddess and, as such, demand to be worshipped I chuckle and pity the poor saps who are going to get sucked into their web from minute one. There are folks here who do end up basically worshipping their parter but that's generally something that builds over time, not because some conceited, arrogant stranger told them to do it. I think folks who write their profiles like that expecting total strangers to worship them are simply pandering to the fetishes of a few. Doesn't get an ounce of respect or attention from moi...........luci

I think if I were looking we're not compatible. Nothing more.

It doesn't bring anything else at all to my mind.

I want to be feared, not worshipped.

mummyman321 -> RE: What comes to your mind when you see profiles like these? (5/10/2011 8:56:10 PM)

Its a free world. People are free to put in their profile what they want. I am not one to judge their wants.

I tell myself "I hope if I ever post such sillyness, that someone
would have the good sense to smack it out of me".

Then I quietly walk away, unmarked, and ever so grateful for my flaws.

A song pops in my head when I see that type of thing . . . "ooops there goes another rubber tree plant"
~~~~~~~~~
Just what makes that little old ant
Think he'll move that rubber tree plant
Anyone knows an ant, can't
Move a rubber tree plant
But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie-in-the-sky hopes
So, any time you're gettin' low, 'stead of lettin' go, just remember that ant
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant
Is it wrong for me to picture you dancing a lil jig while singing this RS? [:D]
Gee. I must be on the internet.
  I really don't care.  People are stupid and if I became emotionally involved every time I witnessed some random piece of stupidity, I'd be a fucking basket case.
DeviantlyD -> RE: What comes to your mind when you see profiles like these? (5/11/2011 12:22:27 AM)
I don't take it seriously and just move on to the next profile I'm perving...I mean viewing. :D
Oooo! Thanks! That's a good find for one of the other threads I participate on. :)
Anyone else report em as scammers?
DarkSteven -> RE: What comes to your mind when you see profiles like these? (5/11/2011 5:30:16 AM)
There is another poster here on collarme who swaps profiles with me.  We deliberately hunt out over-the-top profiles and send them to each other.
The  ones from twenty year old men claiming to be feared and respected local masters who then list their wank fetishes are common.  So are some of the obvious fakes (one was a woman who listed twenty different food dishes she had experience in preparing and then fifteen different sex practices she was also experienced with).    There are some who get off on describing how cruel and dehumanizing they are.  One woman in her sixties wanted a discreet Dom to cheat on her husband with and was setting up a webcam business, all the while describing a trailer trash existence in which neighbors vandalized each other's properties based on jealousy over how new the other's pickup truck was.  And one fond memory is the Dom guy in his forties who was proud of his impending MA in English Lit (no work experience listed), who then described his collection of action toys.
One recent jewel had endless pontification of how Dom he was.  When he saw I'd viewed his profile, he wrote me and demanded to know why, saying he didn't have the time to train me in how to be a Dom, and suggesting that my viewing him was likely an admission that I was really a sub at heart.  He now has a journal entry ranting about my response to him.
*LOL* That is too funny. It's true...it takes all types to make the world go 'round.
Your post reminded me of a time when I was perving profiles and discovered one with a very familiar set of words. I did some checking, and sure enough this unimaginative critter had copied, verbatim, the profile of another dom I had exchanged messages with on CM. I knew it likely wasn't the other way around because a.) the one I knew actually conversed in the same style as his profile and b.) the unimaginative one had a more recent join date. When I informed the person I was acquainted with about his pilfered profile, he already knew about it. He wasn't sure whether to feel flattered or offended. *L*
I don't understand why people get their knickers in a knot just because someone has viewed their profile. When I had my profile up, if someone viewed it and didn't message, I thought they were either just out perving, were curious because of a post here or else they just weren't interested in what they read. *sniff* Why do people invent stuff?
What comes to my mind when I see profiles like that?
Not much, my brain is far too busy to have room for such nonsense. It goes in, gets filtered out.
Voila ! Gone in 60 microseconds.
flcouple2009 -> RE: What comes to your mind when you see profiles like these? (5/11/2011 6:03:44 AM)
I would think I was spending way to much time looking at profiles.
I haven't. I barely look at profiles.
Well, they might be perfect in their own eyes, or it is a sales' talk.
Such people may very well be right, or they may be crazy - or both: all pagan gods are crazy in some way.
That is so antiquated and out-dated! That is not a fashion-conscious pagan god.
another was so brazen as to want a religion.
So? I want one too. Not in order to be worshiped, but to advance the evolution of the human species and to reduce suffering. In fact, I am of the opinion that many people are already eligible for moving out into space; not just the extremely high IQ people.
I dunno about soliciting prostitution. If that is how they choose to make a living, who am I to say they ought to starve instead? Look, in all Western countries governments cause unemployment deliberately.
I can cook more than 15 different dishes.
But generally I shake my head, and think they're going to be lonely for a long, long time.
