If I ever encounter a woman who seems to genuinely think herself an infallible goddess--as opposed to a woman who says she's one because she thinks that's what paying submissive men want--I'll be too intrigued to pass her by.

i perv profiles for entertainment, so it all depends on how well its written. some are funny as hell, others are stupid as hell. it doesn't make a bit of diff to me if they proclaim themselves a god or goddess or the uber sub of all time.

Maybe I am just jaded, but for some reason I find it odd that you would find solicitations (going either direction) for prostitution "scary" and "disturbing". It is the oldest profession in the world, after all...and the most famous participants from a lifestyle point of view is the "dominatrix"... who, while not a "prostitute" in the traditional sense of the word, is nonetheless a paid sex professional (at least mainstream society see them this way).

I would think "Narcissist. Next."

I do have a problem with narcissists. I don't have a problem with sex workers. If by "soliciting prostitution," you are referring to profiles like "Send me money you worthless worm" I think they are pretty funny, and to each his own.

i generally don't look at profiles, as in i don't particularly search them. it will be if someone is posting and asking questions that i may look to see if the profile tells you a bit more about the person. sometimes it will be a name that grabs my attention, either because it means something to me in another part of my life, or it's quirky in some way. i also click profiles by mistake too as my lappies mouse mat is so sensitive that sometimes i don't even have to touch the damn thing for it to click on something. still, once there, for whatever reason, i'm probably going to think; oh right, ermmmm...what? *scratches head*, laugh, or think they are an arse. in any situation i'll be moving on and most probably be forgetting i've even been there.

the only ones that generally amuse me are the ones using fake pics dragged off the net. some guy with a male model's photos, coz i'm so not going to spot that one [:D]

You do realize that this sort of thing is often fantasy fulfillment. It is a major fantasy for some people to be "whored out". Now, do I know that is what is going on with such profiles? No, but you do not know what is going on with them, either. There are people who carry out rape fantasies, who have sex slave fantasies, those who like to wear diapers, etc etc etc... none of these fantasies are socially acceptable.

Like I said, I am probably just jaded, and not much shocks me. As long as people are consenting adults, not running a scam, etc, it just doesn't scare me or disturb me really... even if it is an activity I have no interest in.
