Interesting rundown of what she did on the reform side.

Brain, she's not running.
She's making $millions$ each year on the lecture circuit!
Some "tragedy." I'd like to be "tragic" like that!

So she has made a success of herself in your mind because she is able to scam people who are less literate than her?

Rule, take out "Palin" and put in "Obama."
Why do you lefties get sooooo upset everytime ***her name*** comes up? I think it's commical! You're like vampires at the sight of a sharpened wooden stake!
Look at Al Franken, he did pretty well for himself on the lecture/dinner club circuit and he's never been known as an intellectual titan but so what? If people are willing to pay to see someone shouldn't they be allowed to under our capitalistic society?
And what do you know about her audiences, have you met and talked with them? How about Al Franken's audiences, have you met and talked with them?

Well Popeye, I tell you what.  You up for a challenge?

I'll post the 10 dumbest things Palin has said and I'll let you double up to see if anything Obama or Franken has said comes anywhere close to the stupidity she has exhibited.

This woman needed no help in making herself a household joke... she lacked class, manners, and behaved boorishly on a consistent basis. Whenever I think of Sarah Palin, and her place in the world, I think of this story

http://www.blackbookmag.com/article/sarah-palin-covets-jeggings-at-oscars-gift-suite/16740

quote:

"DEAR GOD WHY?" is an appropriate response when told noted gay icon Sarah Palin was invited to an Oscars gift suite. Apparently the proceedings were more gruesome than this footage of two crocodiles tearing a hapless gazelle into two. At Silver Spoon's Oscar gift suite--which went to benefit the Red Cross--Palin and daughter Bristol were on hand to hoard anything they could clench their talons around.

Fine, whatever. If you or I were there, we’d also kick and scratch our way to the front of the queue to snag the best wares at the gifting suite--including under-eye cream courtesy of Bloom facial products. We have that in common with Sarah Palin. But we draw the line there. Because no one with anything approaching good taste would snag tie-dyed jeggings for her daughter. According to a cameraman, “They were like locusts. She showed up with like 20 people, and they immediately swarmed the place taking everything!”
Everything includes tie-dyed jeggings. Jeggings--more commonly known as denim leggings--kind of defeat the point of wearing denim and leggings. They were made popular last summer when an animatronic creature named Paris Hilton was spotted running in a pair.

Is it unforgivable to grab everything that isn't nailed down at an Oscar Gift Suite? No, it isn't, but to grab so much is just kinda tacky. Think of grabbing more than your fair share at a banquet dinner, or eating off of someone else's plate. It just isn't done to behave this way in those circles. Perhaps I would behave the same way, but then again I am not making millions off a failed bid to be vice president. It isn't like she needed the jeggings, after all....

IdiotMale -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 6:34:55 PM)

I would like to be Sarah Palins personal slave and doormat and lick all of her delicious shoes clean.

Lucylastic -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 6:36:24 PM)

I have a feeling Todds wearing them and cleaning them, there might be a queue

tazzygirl -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 6:36:32 PM)

Lucylastic -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 6:59:15 PM)

I have a feeling his shortcomings would be invisible on the big screen
But then if I were a nasty girl I would say it would be like throwing a bit of string in the channel tunnel
Edited to add
Tazzy, you are so right hon:)

Brain -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 7:14:40 PM)

She's not a professional politician so she didn't have the experience to deal with everything that happened to her. Therefore, I find her resigning more understandable since she was a mother protecting her family/kids from nasty people.

I'm so glad you're not nasty .......[sm=angel.gif][sm=rofl.gif]

Brain -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 7:19:26 PM)

I think if she had a mentor like a Ted Kennedy to smooth out the rough edges and polish her up she would be a much more attractive candidate. Actually, all she has to do is tell the truth and not let others write her speeches telling her what to say and she will be okay.

Sympathetic article towards a second rate candidate that has found a niche and way to make MILLIONS just being her.
I applaude her ability to make a living, but certain she'll never again be a viable candidate for anything but an after dinner speaker.

Brain -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 7:23:07 PM)

Did you guys read the article? She actually was a good governor who brought in much reform and revenues for the state of Alaska that others were unable or too corrupt to do.

Musicmystery -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 7:24:15 PM)

And then she got bored and quit in mid-term.

Brain -> RE: The Tragedy of Sarah Palin (5/11/2011 7:30:59 PM)

I don't think she should run now but she is definitely salvageable politically. And I think most Americans if they knew the truth about what happened to her (how people treated her and used her) they would give her a second chance. I'm not saying she didn't make any mistakes, she got caught up in the moment and over did it but I think if I like her more after reading the article, other people will like her more too.

It wasn't because she was bored it was because people were saying bad things about her family (husband and kids). Something about her husband not being the father of her children - nasty stuff.
