I just had a thought, which I think may be a good idea for those who are seeking critique on their profiles.
The idea behind this is to hopefully bring up the standard of profile writing and interaction amoung people on CM.
Now before you well seasoned boarders reach for the back button, just hear me out....

This is how it would work...

You would read the profile above you and comment on that one and only that one, in short concise bullet points.
A simple rating system would also be employed, say 0 - 5 for example. Zero being terrible, and 5 being excellent.

So for example MissGenericSubbie (I picked this name at random, my appologies if you do exist) wants someone to review her profile. So she posts a POLITE request ad askes the group for their well meaning and sage advise.

A simple review is conducted and a reply might look like the following:

Profile reviewed by .........
Rating: 3/5
*well written but spelling mistakes need correcting
*No profile pics
*etc etc etc

If something like this seems like a workable idea to you, drop me a line. I'd like to see it take off but only if more people are interested.

Well how detailed your review is up to you. Personally I'd go all out and tell them exactly what I think.
I'm sick to my ass of poorly written/thought out profiles sending me messages, expecting an answer. A simple review system would help ease the pain all round.

It sounds like something you would find on a vanilla dating site, not exactly original... so I would give your idea:

1 for originality
1 for workability with this site
2 for usefulness to subscribers (I guess some people who do not know how to make a profile could find it useful)
0 for usability for me. I am not interested in what random people on this site think of me or my profile.

*way too much emphasis on your locked up cock in the pics. maybe 1 would be ok, but 5/8 is way to many
*total emphasis on kink in the text, not a thing about you as a person.

Summary: from reading your profile i get the impression you are completely obsessed with sex, and are focused on your cock and keeping it locked up. that's your main kink apparently. you present yourself as a person with no life or interests outside of your particular kinks, just another wank master. overall it generates no interest to even exchange emails, let alone actually get to know you.

I don't get any pain from badly written profiles, or empty profiles.

I use them as a filtering system. If they're not good enough IMO for whatever reason then I move on to the next. No pain at all!

Ok I know it's not the most original of ideas, but I never claimned it to be. But if it helps someone genuine with their profile then where's the harm?
I imagined this as something people would post into if they would like their profile reviewed, not for some profile police to go around handing out ratings on.

Well I guess I couldn't have asked for a better example of a review. Thanks for taking the time to give mine the once over and review.
Critique excepted and noted :) My profile has been in need of a serious update and with the points you have listed, they will be my top priority.
I appreciate the honest and no bulshit tone, and you weren't rude and insensitive which is what I would hope people would be like when reviewing.

I'm like yourself, I move on very quickly if the profile doesn't interest me. But this system is hopefully going to help towards reducing (if ever so slightly) the number of poor profiles, and I can't see that as a bad thing really.

I think you misunderstood me, my aim was to help someone who may not be the best at putting together a profile to create something that will help them find what they're looking for on collarme. They will still be writing it themselves, this system is merely there to assist them in that capacity. :)

There is already a rating system to help with profile creation. Have you ever read the Mistress board? [;)]
