Women kills attacker in Gwinnett home.

"A Gwinnett county woman shot and killed a home invasion suspect Wednesday morning after the knife-wielding intruder attacked her in the shower, police said."

People wonder why myself and others like me celebrate incidents like this where a homeowner defends their life with deadly force and the intruder is killed. Those same people would rather cower in fear in the corner and sadly want to strip the rest of us of our rights and of the means to protect ourselves so that we also have to live in fear of these animals.

Good for her. I am glad that she was not seriously harmed and I am thrilled that the piece of shit intruder is dead. Ecstatic.

Guess he will not attack anymore little ladies in the shower...or anywhere else! Glad to hear she will not be charged with anything.

Good for her. Love it. Hope he was scared to death when he was looking death in the face.

Chalk up another one.

Remember, alot of these stories don't make it to your fair and balanced news reports. They show up in AFP though, but most people are too squeamish to read that paper. It's just too much for most people, after all Ron Paul and James Trafficant both write articles for them. They must be silenced of course.

for every article you find such as this I can find 10 others where a privately owned firearm caused the death of an owner or close loved one... here is an ironic one right here

The Dorchester County coroner has ruled a shooting at a gun club accidental.

Last week, William Rust was found with a gunshot wound to the chest at the Palmetto Gun Club in Ridgeville.

After an investigation, the coroner found no evidence to support a homicide or suicide. They say RusT likely tripped while carrying a loaded gun.

This marks the second accidental death related to firearms in Dorchester County in the month of May.

Boy, 8, shoots himself to death at Mass. gun show - Yahoo! News

Boston:  A judge ruled on Tuesday that jurors can be shown video of an 8-year-old boy accidentally shooting himself in the head with a submachine gun at a gun show, setting up an unusually grisly courtroom scene in the manslaughter trial of a former police chief who organized the event.

Judge Peter A. Velis of Hampden Superior Court in Springfield, Mass., is still deciding whether audio from after the shooting -- in which the boy can be heard screaming and his father praying -- will be played for the jury. The video will be played in its entirety, but little is visible after the boy, Christopher Bizilj of Manchester, Conn., shot himself.

That's the problem right there.

If you do need to use a gun it may be necessary but it is not a cause for celebration.

I could understand publishing Ron Paul but out of curiosity who cares about Trifficant? A crook, a liar, a felon, and boarders on anti-semitic? IS he still wearing that dead rat on his head that he calls a hair piece?

Fox news opinion ? You don't want it from the "horse's" mouth because of what you've been told I guess.

Think to yourself why Ron Paul would allow his name to be associated with Trafficant's. Could it be that all you heard might not be gospel ? NO.

Are you aware of just what Trafficant did to piss people off ? Bribes, they ALL take bribes. Using campaign money for personal use ? Come on. They are constantly on the campaign trail so getting bought lunch would qualify. FORCING people to work on his houseboat ? My boss does that, pays them cash. Racketeering ? Shit, you gotta be kidding me. They had to wiretap him and bug his whole life for ten years to even get that far. And how much time did he get ? You get less time for bringing in 1.5 million hits of ecstacy. '
'
So what did he do to piss them off ? Look into it and you'll be quite surprised.

Besides, most people are forbidden from reading AFP anyway.

Oh, and the reason Ron Paul didn't share a cell with Trafficant is because Paul has had expert legal advice for most of his life. He is not one of their favorite people either.

There are few that manage to be convicted like Trifficant was, and his claims about everything from Waco to JFK an Hoffa make me believe he is (to put it mildly) a bit extravagant if not just

freaking loon.He was so corrupt he was once brought up on RICO charges, to be fair, he wasn't convicted that time, but the nest time he had his ass handed to him. The area he came out of in

Ohio(Youngstown) is not one of those areas where you don't come up with the backers he had, an there not be some shady deals, especially in the earlier years he served in congress.

I am not a believer in Paul nor most of what he stands for but I do believe him to be an honest man and not of ilk of a Trifficant.

My apologies for the hi-jack that was just a name I hadn't heard in ages.

I am not against gun ownership, but the fallacious argument that they are a really good form of self protection is a bit much. There are very few instances where a home invasion takes place at all, there are even fewer instances where a gun owner successfully shoots someone who invades their home. It isn't a common thing at all.

It is much more likely that a gun owner will shoot themselves (intentionally or accidentally), or someone they love, then they will shoot a bad guy. Not to mention the issue of gun safety around children, who often shoot each other with their parent's handguns.

Want to own a gun, fine, but unfortunately the odds are you will not protect yourself with it, but instead you will end up killing an innocent person instead... just the way the numbers add up.

So she what? Had gun on a rope?

Warning - If I see an infomercial a week from now touting "Gun On A Rope", no amount of firearms will protect anyone from the intellectual property suit launched by my attorneys Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe

It isn't just the actual presence of guns in the home, but simply the knowledge that they are out there.

I'm always reminded of a story that made the papers that cover such things years back. A robber had murdered a store clerk, fled on foot, and hid in a garage a few blocks away. The occupant of the house then flushed him from the garage with a shotgun, straight into the arms of the police. Except it wasn't a shotgun, it was a broom, and she thought there was a dog in there, chasing her cats, when she went through the door yelling, and brandishing her "weapon."

Personally, I think a couple good dogs are a better first line of home defense.

OK fine. They are not pets then, just another killing tool. But they can pull their own trigger.

I'm not sure what bothers me more about that case (being somewhat local to the court presiding and subject to the headlines we got bombarded with). The fact that the law enforcement guys who organized it acted like such pussies when it came to standing up to the very same 'law and order' they would subject other criminals to. Or that it even had to be argued whether or not a jury of adults should or shouldn't be shown a pretty generic video record of what happened to that poor little kid.

Like or not like gun ownership - this case was about criminal negligence on the part of people who should have known better and gave in to their dreams of cold hard cash. His name was Edward Fleury... And he walked! So keep him clear of your kids or your sub if you live in mass or conn.

You ever bother to look into stats relating to how many crimes per year a firearm helps stop?

It's always nice to read about a firearm being used properly. Too bad it's considered uncouth to report such things. It's also too bad that it will be another +1 for the firearm death statistic for this year that so many like to erroneously use.
