SomethingCatchy -> Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 11:14:55 AM)

So I've tried contacting all of the salons in the area, and none of them deal with male pubic hair, and none of them offer chest/back waxing.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove body hair safely? We've tried Nair and similar products but they leave very short bristly stubble that feels/looks horrible and ends up itching him like crazy. Shaving is an option, but means high maintenance - something we'd like to hopefully avoid. All of the hair on his body grows very fast, and he's got a five o'clock shadow on his face within three hours of shaving with a new razor.

Are home waxing kits actually worth it? I attempted to wax my legs years ago and failed miserably with that sugar wax stuff from Sally's.

Also, is there anything anyone would recommend to combat sweat problems between the butt cheeks for someone who works outdoors? Any particular powder you use? I'd like to remove ALL of his body hair, and then maintain it as I see fit, and that includes his ass.

trim all hair to about 5mm and use an epilator. then use bikini wax strips for between his cheeks. moisturise well and shower before doing it though.

I've never tried it personally but at Walmart, Walgreens and such, they carry a thing you just rub across your skin and it literally just rubs the hair off. My ex-wife used it on her arms and legs. I'd assume a guy could use it in similar ways though.

They're called exfoliating kits, I think, but you have to rub in circles, clockwise and counter clockwise or else you are tearing off the skin and the hair has to be very short...

Best way to find a place that does male waxing is to ask body builders...

You're right... but that would require me to go to the gym :P

LOL, I do anyway, but I guess a female just picking up the phone and calling the gym and asking if they could recommend a place where a guy could get waxed (I think they call it "back, sack and crack") possibly would get an answer...

Ah yea, why didn't I think of just calling? It'd be a lot less awkward than asking someone in person.

I guess gym memberships are good for more than just making you either feel awful for never going or tired for always going. You get to ask guys where they get their hair ripped out by the roots!

Using wax to remove hair on the balls should be done by a professional b/c it can be medically dangerous. Many technicians won't do males b/c of this.

But yeah, the body builders will know who does it.

Try Googling:
Pubic hair removal
Male hair removal

There is actually a lot of information out there. Including diploritory creams designed for men

Well I don't know, why would you? As for C, he's got a small virgin forest growing down there. Obviously very masculine, but not very fun when it comes to play time.

I got your point,
sorry

Once i was in eygpt, & there was this guy from the gulf, long story short, he had to shave every 5-6 hours.
(not kidding, when you put your hand on his sholder you realise there is like 5 cm of hair before you get to his skin)

he tried the laser & after some time he was ok & then his face just got dark where he use to shave (his face),
the hair just kept growing under the skin???? I have seen it do whatever you do..... shave use some creams but dont use the laser....... its not made for men....
or just him.

SomethingCatchy -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:08:14 PM)

C is against perm. hair removal. The laser is, sadly, out of the question for him. Good thing he's got a job to pay for all of those razors...

OP, you might try a salon at a hotel that caters to travelers. It will be more expensive but once it's done the first time, the upkeep is easier. I'm surprised about the chest and back waxing...if you don't want to ask a bodybuilder ask a stripper.

ashjor911 -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:20:31 PM)

I did ask mr. google & he provided me with some links for you,
May be they will help
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgCT_Y5JCec

If he is against perm. hair removal, then lose the rasor,
It keep flashing into my eyes, sinfeld when he shave his chest & then cramer come & let him look at his own chest,

I hope I helped

crazyml -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:21:25 PM)

Try googling "back, sack and crack"

OttersSwim -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:26:46 PM)

I have tried most of the removal cremes and the epilator just freakin' kills...my final option really was shaving and to my mind it is really about the best - reasonably affordable - option.

I use the Schick Hydro 5 (great razor) and use anti-bacterial body wash as shave gel.  Exfoliate twice a week and I shave everything down below my eyebrows.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:27:12 PM)

have you tried Veet? i've never actually used it, but i've had friends who thought it was the most awesome thing ever.
i'm pretty surprised that back/chest waxing aren't more readily available. the suggestion to find out who body builders go to is a good one, though i think a lot of amateurs take care of it themselves.

mummyman321 -> RE: Body hair, and alternatives to getting rid of it (5/12/2011 2:40:55 PM)

Here is a place in New Orleans that will do male hair removal.
