The maid was not fondled, as you so quaintly put it, she was violently attacked and raped. How you could possibly equate that with having an affair with an employee I have no idea. The relationship may have been a secret one, but she did birth his child, who he supported, she did retire from her position, and I assume on HIS retirement package.

Men who don't seem to get there is a difference between consensual and non-consensual sex make the rest of the male gender look bad. Shame on you !!

A blogger on Le Post, a news website, pointed out that the tweet was posted at 4.59pm New York Time, just 10 minutes after Mr Strauss-Kahn was seized on an Air France plane. Mr Pinet had said he had been arrested an hour previously in his hotel, raising questions on how he had obtained the information so fast."

Now, explain what an alleged non-consensual rape and an alleged consensual affair have in common? Without sidestepping the issue, if you please.

Also, please explain your use of the term "fondle" to describe an alleged violent rape. 

I look forward to an actual explanation as opposed to your obscuring the core issue of how you view rape, alleged or not.

You keep backing yourself into a corner. Again, instead of an explanation, we got a side step (feminism), an obfuscation (I don't have views on rape), and a half-assed [oh yes, the puns are *always* intended] attack (Right or wrong over an assumption you pulled out of your ass? I think I'll pass.)

Not quite, but I will say that feminism, over the past 50 years, has created the socially prevailing 'excitement' that you both display on the topic, the very kind of excitement I do not display, and that I am criticized for not displaying.  I'm not a believer in 'the movement' and therefore, my alarm bells do not sound over movement-hyped issues.

You constantly demand an explanation over what? Not being a joiner in your 'excitement' driven by a movement that I don't subscribe to?

One was an affair, nothing to allege, they both agreed and admitted to it.

The other is an alleged assault. One didn't agree to it.

Just a minor sticking point for both the legal and intellectual debate of the issue.
