That'd be a pretty desperate measure, really.

There was a time a couple of years ago I had a fling with a so-called Republican... he wasn't a family values heathen though. We argued about the war in Iraq, his brother is a general, so he drank the family kool-aid... I did like him, and he was sexy.

Californians knew what they were getting when they voted for Schwarzenegger, he actually didn't get as many votes as Davis, but since it was a recall that didn't matter.

There were stories of Schwarzenegger hitting on women, molesting women, etc etc etc, while he was married, and no one seemed to care. I thought the accusations that he sexually fondled women without their permission much more alarming than a love child, and I believed them. I do not think his intention was necessarily to rape anybody, he just thinks he is so hot that women should fall all over him. He is revolting, really.

So, as with Clinton's sexual indiscretions, I do not think this changes my opinion of him one way or another. I didn't like the way he went after unions because they didn't support his candidacy. He was a vindictive bastard, trying to hurt government workers in California, and he was especially punitive to the peace officer's union (I know because my brother in law is a member of it, and they had more yanked from them than any other sector).

I liked some of Clinton's policies, and I detested many others, bit impeaching him for sexual stuff was wrong.... I would have the same view if Arnie was the governor today.

I do not think that Schwarzenegger campaigned on family values, if he had, my opinion would be far different

Impeaching Clinton for sexual acts was wrong...impeaching him for lying to the American people, under oath, was very correct.

Joke of the Day: When a black man won the presidency they threw tantrums at the mere thought he might have been born in another country, even though it is absolutely certain he was born here...

Joke of the day, claiming reduction in taxes leads to more jobs, and not to companies who have been pissing and moaning these last few years about how tough it is leading to record profits.

Can we retroactively impeach Bush for all of his lies? They were far more damaging to this country, after all

Joke of the day, the highest debt in history under a Republican House. Peddle your families ass on the street, for family values.  Just make sure it is not the same sex.

Actually the thread is about 2 men who apparently represent the whole republican party. I find this very amusing. People have said that they would have been ok with the way Newt treated his wife, if he hadn't been picking on Clinton at the same time. Now I am not sure why it would be ok in either case, but I am conservative, so maybe a liberal can explain it to me.

I can explain it to you. Lets say I start publicly derailing you as sick, perverted, immoral and evil incarnate because you are into BDSM. Then later you find out that the whole time I was publicly denouncing you, I was doing pretty much the exact same thing that I was demonizing you for? Would it not make me even worse? Its not so much his indiscretions that offend people, but in the words of Larry Flynt "Its the hypocrisy..." There is an ancient proverb that says "a hypocrite kicks with his hind legs and licks with his tongue" and if you are a Christian: Romans 2:1 says that people like this are inexcusable and verse 24 says they blaspheme the name of God.......And IF I really wanted to get critical with it; I could point out that Jesus said every sin is forgivable except blashpemy; but this particular thread is about politics and not religion, so I won't go there.

Were the skanks that these boys fucked republicans mostly, or?

Are you thinking of turning republican to get some skank action?

Personally, if I ever have that middle age crisis that's supposedly the bane of many men my age, going republican opens up a whole lot of options. You get to fuck the whole country.

Don’t you think it ridiculous to assign mans moral failings to one political party?
