Can you imagine if social security were enacted today, what it would take to enroll all seniors in one year?  Or would all those seniors be phased in over the course of multiple years? Which path would require a more costly bureaucracy? The 'all at once' approach, or the 'phased in' approach?

It seems odd that you are lobbying for the more expensive bureaucracy to handle the 'all at once' approach.

Ask each person that is against the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (i.e. the ACA): Have you actually READ the act from cover to cover, including the parts added to it since then? You'll find an extremely large percentage have not. What is the chance that servantforuse actually sat down and read the ACA from cover to cover and understood the entire bill?

But I agree with you tazzy, the more Americans see what this plan does in their favor and benefit, the more likely they'll want to keep it in place. If anything, the percentage that want the ACA modified upward (instead of being reduced or eliminated) is growing.

Status: offline 		The article does not provide enough information to make a decision as to whether the process was inappropriate. On the surface it looks the way but I don't think that's enough. We don't even know who it was that made these decisions and whoever did it needs to explain and defend their actions.

Status: offline 		It's not a joke. The health care legislation passed reduces the deficit, not enough in my opinion as more could have been done like the public option, but it is an improvement.
