The FEC disagrees.

Do I need to disclose my personal financial information?

Yes. Candidates for federal office must file disclosures of their personal finances. Contact the appropriate office for more information: ... candidates for US President and Vice President should review a Legal Advisory issued by the Office of Government Ethics and contact the FEC's Office of General Counsel's General Law and Advice Division at (800) 424-9530. (Personal financial disclosure reports filed by Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates (excluding the incumbent) are available from the FEC's Public Records Office at (800) 424-9530 (press 2).)

Why do you post bs [:D]

Financial disclosure is not a requirement to run for president...

Citizenship is, however. [;)]

If its fair game to snoop around Newt Gingrichs private finances... why would asking about Obamas school records be considered racist

Maybe because financial disclosure is a requirement for running for POTUS and a lot of other public offices and transcripts are not?

I doubt he will still be running by then, but you never know.

Yeah, farge, Sanity; in very gentlemanly fashion has conceeded the fact that he was much mistaken about that notion, and he is in full agreement on that point (that the law exists and is applicable) with us.  Let's move on.

I don't get it.  If he's got the money, why quibble over how he spends it?  Out of all the reasons why he should not be President, this one's not a biggie.

Putting it on credit is, BY DEFINITION, not having the money.

Really? So when I buy a couple of airline tickets on my delta skymiles amex in order to get my bag checked for free, I did that not because I wanted my bag checked for free but because I didn't have the money for the ticket?

Did you have the cash?

It was actually one of the more civilized posts he's made too. Good on ya sanity.

Yeah I think most of us really refrained from busting his balls over it.
