While cats will ever be my favourites, there are other animal companions out there with lots of cuteness to share. So what are they up to ?

Herman the Turtle is currently face up, towards the lamp, snuggled into a corner of his tank. Bruce the Fish is swimming around his bowl, and Einstein the hammy is running a marathon in his wheel. [:)]

I love dogs, but I currently don't have one in my world, so I couldn't contribute to that thread. I could talk about my former dog, Spike, The Amazing Wonder Dog, for pages & pages. But I wanna hear about all y'all's babies. Btw, Red, I had no idea of the fish & hamster's names. I thought they were just Fish & Hammy.

i name lots of things, even fish and automobils.
In youth, i had a beta named Arnald, and two fancy tailed mollies name MacBeth and Pendragon,
there was a pet robin named Abby, a porch lizard called "Dude", my stepfather's pot belly pig named Mozart,
and Chaos saved a baby squirrel that he and his folks named Ezekiel.

Does anyone have a favourite name of a pet, current or dearly remembered ?

Gamera Turtle is giving me the stink eye while dangling one-footed from the remains of the celery stalk i fed him earlier. i need to replace the water in his tank.

Well I could react in the "cat" topic whilst the breed I have is known as "the cat under the dogs"
I 've had dogs since I was married and had several breeds also, but the Podenco is my absolute favorite breed now.
My first dog was a welsh corgi named Loeky, I had a dachshound named Willow, a couple prairiedogs named Bonny and Clyde, a chinchilla named Gizmo, a set of parakeets; Jockey and Grey, a single prairiehound named Djenga.
Those were all in the past.....
I had a pack of 7 dogs with my ex, 5 podenco's 1 galgo espagnol and Willow I named not all of them, cause they were all rescuedogs from spain. Ashley, Pancho, Gaia (she is still with me) Manrique, Aidah and Bones.
I have had 3 cats in my life (all passed away the last 2 years) Isa, Spits and Jimi

And if I'm really back on my own two feet again I will buy a pup for Gaia for her company and to play with.

You see, I'm a real animallover. [:)]

I do still have some names for future dogs/cats to come :)
Gaia I named myself and still love it.
Still a favorite name is Manrique, the dog was named after a Spanish artist from the isle of Lanzarote.
Bones I did name after the series [:)]

My pet was imported from California a couple years ago.  everhope is getting some rest, she is fighting off a cold.  Being a nurse has its perils, being around sick people is one of them.

My cat's name is Cloudy.  He's a moody motherfucker, just like me.

Cash, our Newfoundland dog, is currently trying to herd Catinka Fee, our young cat. He seems to feel responsible for her.
Dino, the lizzard, is lounging under his fake sun, waiting for Oldest to get home and amuse him and feed him crickets.
The fish, shrimp, and the crayfish are hanging out in their tank, digesting. Middle child just fed them.
The cornsnake is doozing in a corner of her tank, while our old cat lies next to her (outside the glass, of course).

Aside from the dog, who already had a name when we got him, the kids named our animals.

My 2 dobies are sleeping (each with a cat who takes advantage of the warm dog body) and they're snoring, Mr Slinky (the rat man) is rearranging his cage, which means he drags things around, throws them out of the cage and tries to steal other stuff to drag into the cage, and he's making angry squeaking noises because the dogs haven't visited him today for their grooming (he sits on their heads and grooms them and it seems they like it)

She is going to see a doctor in about 3 hours.
