Generally speaking, I'd stick with what I've done. I made a couple of errors of judgment regarding education that I wish I could change, and I would have ... how to put this... There are people in my life that I have loved all my life who never loved me. I would have let go of that love much earlier - saved myself tons of grief... and would have embraced the love of people who I now have realized loved me all along. (Did that make sense? It did in my head. It would help if I drew a diagram, I'm sure). And I would have learned Spanish in High School.

But you know... I look back and realize that I didn't have the courage or fortitude back then to do those things. I needed the time to build those things. The journey is the destination.

I only am sorry about things I didn't do--like walk awaY from one-sided relationships. I know love is never wasted, but I would just as soon have spent it on some more deserving.

As our Sunnylicious says, it's a journey. I often think about how different my life would have been if I'd been born with a normal face. ENTIRELY different. Impossible to say.
