What is the best way to teach my slavegirl to wear high heels? I bought her a pair 5 inch heels for her birthday for some weeks ago and I like her to wear them at home in the evenings and during weekends. I’m well aware, it can be demanding to wear such high heels, but I don’t think it’s an unfair request. The problem is that she still is wobbling a bit on them and she tends to bend her legs a bit when she stands straight up. I want her to wear them beautifully and elegantly. Does any of you know of a training program for wearing high heels. Any advice would be appreciated.

Loving Sadist, High heels take much practice. My suggestion would be to begin with 3 inches and work up. 2 week intervals are probably best. piscess

Thanks piscess You’re probably right but I was more thinking in terms of some physical exercise – strengthening her leg muscles and balance. Cheers Loving sadist

LovingSadist... There aren't exercise programs to develop leg muscles for wearing heels. The ONLY way to do it is to work up to it. Have some patience and start a little smaller. Your expectations are too high. Back off a little and realize this is a time thing and experience thing.

Actually there are exercises to strengthen the calf and thigh muscles................they helped me recouperate after ankle surgery and allowed me access to my high heels again... She can do calf raises as well as leg lifts to strengthen those muscles as well as the suggestion of starting out with a smaller heel and working her way to a great high heel

Yes you can strengthen leg and calf muscles, but practice is the only way to get used to them. Also, don't forget that wearing high heels (especially HIGH heels) causes a lot of strain. It would be wise not to make her wear them all the time or she will end up with a lot of foot problems.

Cheers Loving sadist Also for balance, my Sir has me do the four horse stance (have feet about six inches apart, pull knees inward using the muscles and push the ankles out again using just the muscles) This has helped alot with my balance

If there is a grooming/finishing/modelling clases s run some where around you that can help with poise and grace ...I assume you want the effortless "look" of walking in them too ? even a adult dance class....I did a "finishing" course for young ladies at 16 for my Deb ball ...something like that ??

5" heels!! Sheesh, I thought the 4" ones my Dom bought me were bad enough. Which I cannot wear unless I'm lying down on my back. [:D] I have never worn heels in my life accept for low heel pumps on occasion and my Dom loves heels. He finally saw the light and we are working on getting me into the higher heels. Right now I have a lovely pair of 3 1/2 inch that I have learned to walk in. I can even go down stairs now!! I will add that since I have been doing a lot of walking on a treadmill my legs and ankles are in much better shape which I thinks helps with the wearing of heels.

My former Master & Mistress wanted me to wear 5" heels both in a pump & thi-high boot. They started me out with the boots for only 30 minute per day. I was expected to take small steps, stand straight and ultimately walk in beautiful and elegant manner. The boots offered more stability than the pumps and helped to build my confidence and skill at walking and serving in them. Now I can handle a 5" heel for 4 hours and I love it. Wedges, and platforms and larger heels (not stilletos) are stronger and sturdier and won't bend as much when worn. They are a little easier to walk comfortably in and get used to. The suggestion to work up to higher heels is also good because it's not simply about strength, it's about balancing and walking differently. That can only be learned from practice and getting the feel for it. When my daughter was younger, and put on her first pair of heels, I told her to straighten up, tuck in her pelvis a little, and sort of lean back a little until she kind of felt her whole body slide right into the heels. Oh I just found a link to some tips. http://www.ehow.com/tips_16007.html Try some cross dressing sites too. I was reading through the tips at the above site and one mentioned practicing walking on tip toes. Rising up and down from flat feet to tip toes might be a good way to practice balance and strengthen ankle, leg and foot muscles. An exerciese we do in bellydance for this is to stand with legs about shoulder width apart, then bend knees deeply, keeping back straight (hands on thighs for balance), then rise up on tip toes. Then straighten the knees, or stand while still on toes, and then slowly lower. This can also be done in reverse. Tip toes while standing, then bend knees, then lower heels. Have Fun!

Any advice would be appreciated. like others have said, start with lower heels and work up. this slave would also suggest getting her into a ballet class. it helps to strengthen the ankles (and other leg muscles) and also helps with graceful movement. flexing the thigh muscle, and extending the leg straight as she steps off, locking the knee.....it is very hard to describe in words, but have her practice in front of a mirror, watching herself as she walks, focusing. Some people just can't wear heals that high, and it's not always a matter of strength. I either work out of run every day and still can't safely wear heals over about three inches. I'm just too uncoordinated.

To work on balance for my martial arts, I walk around ont eh balls of my feet nearly all the time when I am barefoot... lost a bet once in high school and had to wear heels as part of the penalty for a bad bet... had no problems with it, so it might be of use to you to have her do it constantly for a few months, then ease her into the heels... but I have no idea, since it's not something I have ever insisted on... shrug - Dustyn

I have always worn 3" heels for work and its not that bad, yes that means 40+ hours a week. Start her off with just wearing them for work, if approprate adn work her up to 5" heels. Also, if she doesn't have a high arch, be carefull and take things slow, if she has a high arch, start with 3" heels and gradually get her up to the 5". Have her wear them around the house [or for play] and for short periods and work her way up to longer amounts of time. Like anything else, this is a gradual process, remember, if she has shooting pain, they need to come off, her calves can shorten if she wears them a lot and then if she wears anything shorter after that, it will be very painfull and she will have to retrain her calf muscles again.

I find after I've worn heels regularly for a few days that when I go back to sneakers or barefoot, I have cramps. You have to work your muscles down just like you have to work them up.

Platform heels are great for getting use to every day standing and walking. You should also get a bigger shoe size, 1/2 to 1 size larger than the normal size. This makes it more comfortable for longer duration in the shoes. Be sure she applies pressure to the heel, when she stands or walks. The new york times had an article that mentioned cosmetic foot surgery to wear high heels, I beleive the focus was on the pumps with narrow, pointed toes, and not the heel itself. www.2heels.com designed by J.J. For boots, yes, get a bigger shoe size, and maybe with the realllly pointy shoes, but, generally, if they are not the right size, she is not going to be able to walk in them. Some gel insoles are wonderful. My Master bought me some clear ones, so I can wear them with anything. Practice and lots of praise and rewards make perfect. But, if she just can't get to the level of perfection you desire, perhaps you should consider getting yourself a pair and practicing with her? Someone's bound to learn something then...[;)][:D] Good luck, and have fun!
