it's worth noting that this isn't the first time that Camping has predicted the end of the world.

Ok, this guy is in good company. I mean Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church predicted it for 1891.

Personally, I think the sign of the end of the world would be the Cubs winning 7 World Series in a row.

LOL. 6 pm on the 21st May 2011 has come and gone and nothing happened. Though one friend of mine burped mildly but significantly at 6.02. We all thought that was the start but it wasn't to be ........

The Bible had nothing to say about GMT last time I read it. Admittedly that was a very long time ago but I doubt it has changed much.

You forgot the Jehovah's Witnesses. They have been predicting Armageddon since 1914. Then it was to be in 1975. I'm not sure what their current date is.

I'm wondering how many times this guy is going to be proved wrong before the wingnuts that follow him finally see him for the Chicken Little that he is.

the Apocalypse church's van was driving around town here yesterday announcing it on their loudspeaker. It was annoying on my lunchbreak when all I wanted was peace and quiet.

Well considering that the bible says that only the lord knows when judgement day is, I am trying to figure out if this guy thinks he is god or something.

Doesn't mean that one of us can't guess it correctly. Maybe just that we'd have no actual way of knowing or proving it. Until, of course, the day finally arrives. It wouldn't matter then anyway lol
