ORIGINAL: Owner59 I`ve aways gone with the traditional definition. A racist is someone who discriminates based on race. But one needs to be in a position of power to exercise those actions, to be a racist. With that definition, there aren`t many "racists" besides a few politicians/employers/preachers/broadcasters with the power to hurt people. Most folks with racial prejudice(or gender prejudice,cultural/religious prejudice(like you),xenophobes, etc) are simply bigots. I always liked the way Dr. King put it. To judge each other by the content of our character, rather than the color of our skin. So affirmative action is racist then, by your definition. Checkboxes on scholarship applications would be racist too. So we have good racism, and bad racism, then? Since you've brought up the power variable as the weasel "but", after bringing up the Black Panther case as well, now please tell us how powerless the Attorney General was, referencing "my people," in relation to the case? That's very classy with the bigot shot up there. Were you trying to use words to hurt? Tell us this too. If you love President Obama so much, why do you constantly betray his vision?
