I'm really not up for another guy who wants to lower taxes for the rich and raise them for the poor and a 23% national sales tax does just that so he's going to be a very hard sell for me. I need to continue vetting as more information comes out about his stance on other issues; same sex marriage, abortion, stem cell research, defence spending etc. but at this moment, with what I know so far, Cain is a no for me.

Better Palin one heartbeat away than Obama zero heartbeats away.

Hey don't knock Alan Keyes... He showed his potential worth to this country in Borat

How can you be so sure it was unintended?

Well, the simplest explanation is usually correct.

You should know better than to underestimate people... then again, maybe you dont.

Your attempt at sarcasm was flipped back on you. And I was kind. There will be others who wont be as nice.

Herman Cain 2012

For several years we have been listening to derelicts like Jimmuh Carter and Bill Cosby tell us that the reason we don't like Obama is simply because he is black and that we are racists. Enter Herman Cain. I like this guy a lot (and I have been listening to Herman via radio for years). Carter and Cosby owe me (and probably many others) an apology. Idiots.

His initial sell to the black voters is very poor from what I understand.

You're only saying that because you think her purchase of RosettaStone:English will help her governance [:D]

ROTFLMAO!  Oh, I think I have you pegged just about right. You weren't kind - you were hilarious.

Thank you, I do enjoy entertaining the fools. [:D]

For what it's worth--I could have supported McCain in 2000. Gore was a marginal candidate.

But not in 2008--everything was just shoot from the hip, including the desperate inclusion of Palin.

I had reservations about Hilary. That left taking a chance on Obama.

tazzygirl -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 11:01:44 AM)

I think that is why many people voted for Obama, to be honest.

Musicmystery -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 11:06:48 AM)

With the current field of Republican candidates, that may well happen again.

Perhaps there will be a surprise candidate. It happens.

I have said if they offered up a candidate with some kind of common sense, I just might vote republican.

So far, I havent seen one.

So is your point in this that you're now shopping?

And one of the more interesting possibilities has decided not to put his family through it (Mitch Daniels has said no).

Huntsman, maybe.

It's difficult to see where I would vote for Obama in '12, but there are some in the Repub filed who might put me back to a protest candidate.

Oh run that guy, ohh please......He`s the black Sarah Palin.

Btw,a black(or two) in the GOP doesn`t erase it`s bigots.

You cons don`t it.Tokenism is just that.

Folks criticizing Clarence Thomas or Michael Steel weren`t doing it b/c of their race(s) but b/c of their character/actions.

I like Michael Steele... he is a hoot! And he is a moderate
