I don't like guns, but I have in the past used the things; shotguns and hand guns before the military cured me of that fascination and our laws were formed to prevent the law abiding from having a gun,which put an end to my shooting club. Now this is a big change of thinking for me, for not liking guns and that because I know full well their primary purpose, I see them as necessary and that only because of defense or survival, defense in that whilst the law abiding go around unarmed, they are prey for the criminals who are not law abiding and very often armed, survival speaks for itself, food on the table, a boon in these hard pressed times. But something did change my mind recently and that was what was happening in my own country, first they took the guns, then the swords and then the knives, we are bound by law upon law governing us in what can constitute an offensive weapon, the plod don't have any common sense, but the criminals by the very nature of their occupation ignore the law, and the police, well what use are they when one is being attacked, they only arrive after the fact, often when the victim is dead or dying.
But don't let those who would like to see your guns taken away from you get the upper hand by trotting out the same 'ole, same 'ole crap whenever there is an incident, because if they do get their way, who will tell the criminals, oh and any other authority that wishes to control, or is it official authorities will keep their rights, in defence of the criminals supposedly, but who defines criminal, dont laugh, that time may come, especially if you hang onto ideals of freedom in a society less free with every day passing.
The pillock that shot himself in the foot should be laughed at for being so stupid, and perhaps prosecuted for whatever you have over there, wasting police time, or perverting the course of justice for lying to the police and wasting their time, but don't let the idiots destroy your rights.
