I'm the last person to give computer advice, lucky to find the on/off switch some mornings....but...I did have a question.  Can they track cell phone activity?    If not, perhaps you could use your cell to view CM?

I know some of the newer cell phones are amazing with what they can do....I'm continually in awe of technology.

i'm confused, why would viewing cm have anything to do with the police anyway? i'm sorry to be so ignorant about it but it's not a country i know anything about.

Sunny, have you emailed support for suggestions? Because I doubt you're the first resident of a more restrictive nation to have this problem.

Many Asian countries have strict laws that are not like here in America. There is no freedom of speech or internet. Things have to be approved and things like porn and adult sites are usually banned. They're against the law most times.

If you just don't want the images scrolling by while you are on the home page, and you use Internet Explorer, open the favorites bar, and adjust the width. Voila!

Since I usually have that bar open, I didn't even know the ads were there for quite a while.

Excellent idea! I don't have police trouble, but the ads have recently become much more annoying with advent of those mini-movies they run. The constant movements draw your eye to them.

I hope we never copy them.   I would hate that.

So... how does that help me keep from getting arrested and deported?

Really, Officer... I wasn't LOOKING at that illegal site.

Did you even notice the actual question?

^ why cant they afford the correct software then?   Let them get on with it- and get it together on their end.

In the mean time- if it is that bad- then set up a diff email then CM.   I doubt you are missing the stud of the century here anyway-- mostly old farts that need viagara.

I'm in a group with other folks of my ilk. I've asked them what they do.

I think it is incredibly nervy for a cop to send you a note.    You should get out of that country.  It sounds like a dive.

It occurs to me that either you really don't understand or you are acting like a jerk. Either way, I'm not going to address you anymore in this thread.

best,

PA,
This is not a vacation, she works there.
She is teaching.
It is a job she finds very rewarding.

It isn't one cop sending her a note; it is the police that work in the government's obscenity division or something similar.

sunshinemiss,

I believe that the ads are evoked by a java applet when you open the CM page.

So, Firefox with the "NOScript" add-on would allow you to control them from
showing on your page.  I do not know if it does this by preventing them from
being called upon.  If it does it could be what you need, I am not knowledgable
enough to know.

I think it might because when I run this combination on an old PII computer it
runs faster.  As if it was doing less work. And the ads do not show unless I permit
them to load.

I do not know if CM is on the Korea official "no no list", if it is then I do not know
what you could do.

I've always found the best way to not get arrested,is to not do things you get arrested for. You are in their country. Live with the law, leave, or get a bit sneakier about asking how to skirt it.

Get a nice (dumb) online dom to buy you a satellite phone, and pay the bill for connecting that way.

On the upside, just think how much you'll appreciate free speech when you return home.

I believe that was the point of the thread. The law is about PEDOPHILIA... Obviously CM is not about that.

I'll give that the consideration it deserves.

Why do you think I'm NOT home? Why do you think I will be returning to the USA? Why do you think I *don't* appreciate free speech?

I can't find decent decaf coffee here either. Send me some?
