I like economics, I enjoy reading about economics, etc. There are some things, even with my avid interest in the topic, I feel unqualified to comment on, and that is how large or small debt ratio should be for a country.
Even with my lack of qualifications, it seems rather stupid to me to dump our money into things that have little return for us as a people... you know, like invading other countries, and now we have to follow that unfortunate Pottery Barn rule, we broke it and now we own it. It really gripes my ass that the Iraqi people have healthcare and we don't, partially because we are too fucking busy paying to police the world in all of its glory.
Yeah, our social spending that isn't directly paid for is pretty minuscule when compared to other aspects of the budget. For example, Social Security is supposed to be a directly funded entitlement... then they rip those programs off to pay for their military adventurism and tell us, "Well, SS isn't sustainable"[8|]
I am really tired of my tax money paying for these shenanigans that are a subsidy to corporations that own us. And then you have the Retard Brigade that want to blame socialists for all the world's ills... and I would be shocked by the depth of that stupidity, if it weren't for the fact we have really let our public schools languish for the past couple of decades, not teaching these poor kids how to think logically or critically... not teaching them to be nothing more than sheep accepting of what their leaders say. And if you get a little pissed off about it, then you aren't being "respectful"... well fuck that, our leaders are fucking us in the ass and they want me to respect that.
Okay, rant over... what was the topic? Oh yeah, how dumb Spain is because they are socialists, even though we are doing much the same over here as far as lame-assed spending that we refuse to cut[8|]
