Question for you BlackSword......on the days that you DON"T workout are you still supposed to do the 4-6 small meals throughout the day or do you eat lighter?

Exercise is nice.
I like being sore. :p go figure.

I feel like I'm stuck in a winter coat and I really want to take it off. If only it was as easy as just unbuttoning a coat.

Domestic duties kept me from the gym last night but I did do 3 loads of laundry which consisted of climbing 3 flights of steps each time so that's something.

Tonight I'll be doing the "Body Sculpt" class.  As of Wed morning I was down 8lbs.

Question - has anyone seen or used a program called KettleWorx? Just looking for reviews - if it's good or if it sucks. :p

A good source for anything "kettle" related would be Imp.  I know that she swears by the kettle ball!

I lost 70 lbs in 09' and have maintained, thank goodness. No weight programs, just diet and exercise. I still need to lose about another 40 and have started on that. The transition to making diet and exercise a habit is the tough one for me. My mantra is i have to exercise even if my ass falls off.

Let's break that down & make it more "realistic".  A bit like the motto AA uses..."One Day at a Time".

What are you doing for exercise now?
What does your diet consist of?  Do you eat 3 meals a day or 4-6 smaller meals?

**Eta, CONGRATULATIONS for the wieght loss and for maintaning it which IMHO is the hardest part**!!!

Thanks VP and LBP. I have to diet half the time just to maintain and I keep no clothes over what size i am now, so when they get tight, i buckle down and get it back off.

I use the Core Rythm series (love it), Denise Austin DVD's, weights and my eliptical/bike. i need variety here at home as i won't join a gym because i won't go. Learned that lesson.

I eat alot of turkey and fish, steamed veggies, breakfast bars, salads, Smart Ones. It depends on the day how many times i eat but it seems to work better when i eat a little something 5-6 times a day so i won't let myself get too hungry. When i get too hungry, i crash and burn in a drive thru window.

It isn't easy but it is so worth it. When i lost that 70 lbs, i felt so much better, physically and mentally.

ETA i try to stay away from the carbs and anything that the percent of fat calories is over 50% of total calories.

I'm the exact opposite, I can't buy DVD's cause I won't exercise at home!
It sounds like you're doing a wonderful job!

That's a great example of why it's good to eat several times a day, to avoid hunger pangs that will make you overeat.

How often do you exercise?

Daily mostly but no less than 5 days a week when i am in serious weight loss mode. And butt exercises and breasts exercises...i do those quite a bit just thru the day.

A girl i know power walks in place while she watches a tv program to maintain...nice habit.

I love smart ones :p they're great when I have to pack lunch and I don't have a lot of time. Three cheese ziti is my faaave. Haha

Souds like you're doing great, annie. :)

I will work out at home because I don't generally like gym atmosphere and I'll psych myself out of going. If I have stuff at home, there aren't many excuses I can make. :p

I want to try this "small meals" thingie. I usually eat about two times a day, sometimes three.
