I'm the exact opposite, I can't buy DVD's cause I won't exercise at home!

This is a great example of how people need to find what works for them. Weight loss is so individual....but the one constant is to keep doing what is working for you. I've had so many false starts lol.

I just have trouble remembering, especially if I'm out and about and forgot to pack something, or if I'm workinng on a project, a lot of time can go by without me noticing. :p

I just need to have more salad, veggies, and fruit around. More protein sources that I can take long.

Annie, the SmartOne's ice cream thingies are tasty! And they're a perfect size.
I think they have artificial sweetener but somehow it doesn't bother me as usual.

I've actually lost a lot, and I just have to stay motivated. Tired of the winter coat feeling. I can't get those years of my life back, but I can get myself back.

Daddy's martial arts classes are almost over, so we may go to the gym together on monday's , instead of me going alone Wednesday and Friday. He goes on Thursday Friday saturday, after work, but it's nice to go together sometimes.

I used to really want a fitbit. I like gadgets.
I elected not to get one, though.

Yeah i like gadgets and data lol when i am really focused on losing weight - it keeps me focused on the goal and i can see and tweak and analyze etc.

I am considering getting one but they are all like 145 bucks  for the one that connects to your iphone.

Same here; that's why I like them. They give you a straightforward way to see what's going on, and see what you can change, etc.

I think the fitbit is $99 - have you compared them?

LOL yes, which i don't think is a good thing.  Now i don't know which one to get.  One of the biggest things that keeps me from buying the BB is the subscription cost which irritates me because its bloody expensive in and of itself at 145.  Fit plus syncs with the losit app though which people like.

The fitbit people are saying may not give as accurate of data because it only has 1 sensor vs 4, and both are saying that they don't always last.

So it's frustrating because i think this would keep me majorily motivated because i do well when i have data to play with, but after reading the reviews and comparisons of both and the newer fitultra and bodymedia one, i just don't know!!!! lol

I wish they had an app that would turn your iphone or smart phone into one of these lol.

Hey did you ever hear about earndit.com

have you shopped ebay, amazon, craigslist and pawnshops?   Often times you can get that used for alot less money. f

And about february after all the january resolutions have been tossed in the closets they should be flooding the market.

Yeah ron i have for years, well maybe not pawnshops lol.  The BB at least has been out for years in different versions.  The only problem i have buying this used is that the BB goes directly on the skin and that to me is just ewww lol to use a strangers.  I know i may be overreacting but i am not sure i can get past the yuck factor that is for me lol.

the fitbit is better in that arena because its worn on clothes.  I check these out about 3 times a year and always hesitate because of costs and whether or not i would be wasting my money after reading reviews lol.

Smartass -- i said exchanging bodily fluids and residue with STRANGERS -- gives me the ick factor!  To me that is like buying a used dildo -- okay eww.

grins, i've already had rehearsals and pretty much perfected my technique -- although there was some groaning and oh gods during same, i never had an objection --- oh and growling, grins yes definitly growling.

The gym I was thinking about joining offered a little gadget thingie but at the time I was just thinking about the fitbit because I knew a couple who recommended it and liked it for the price. Some of them have more features and are more expensive but I didn't feel like I needed all the bells and whistles.

Then I started using cardiotrainer and map my run, and decided i'd just use MMR, since it was motivation enough. :p

Seeing the calendar with blank spots made it clear when I was slackinng off. :p and MMR is free.
