The fact that there were unspeakable crimes against humanity occurring every day in pre-liberation Iraq was very well known to most anyone curious enough to have spent ten minutes online Googling the facts. Many people were screaming that Saddam was the worst kind of tyrant from the mountain tops, myself included. The horrors of prewar Iraq can only news to you because most of the mainstream media chose to ignore the atrocities in Saddams Iraq for political reasons. That the same left leaning media gladly publishes any atrocities it can uncover in Syria now is more a testament to the malfeasance of todays media elite than it is any kind of an accurate representation of the reality on the ground, wherever theyre reporting from (or failing to report from). Judging by your lack of awareness about the conditions in prewar Iraq I seriously suggest you try a little harder to get your news and information from a much wider variety of sources in the future. quote:
ORIGINAL: SilverMark I am sure no one would support what happened in Saddam's Iraq, but the closed nature of the regime and his antipathy towards the West who was truly aware of them? We do not have ground troops in Lybia, it is truly a civil war, with NATO flying support missions, so there is a difference between the situations. I only wish all we had to do in Iraq was to support an insurrection. Wil, where is your proof of Obama being tied to any form of systematic rape? Another inflammatory statement with nothing to it?
