Though I'm not sure that holds up because you or your parents I'm sure paid your 10 cents worth in property tax, that is assuming you went to a public school.

ahh all that makes sense, except the last line. Education is a societal necessity and the cost should be shared. Just not at the Federal level.




Yes a societal necessity but why not put the burden on parents with school age kids?  Not the federal level, I agree so I'm taking this as you mean it's a state or local responsibility and I agree to an extent. But is it fair to charge those who are already paying out the ass for private schools or those of us who don't have kids?

I mean look at the quality of public education these days. These guys that go out with cameras video taping college students who an abnormally large percentage can't answer simple questions generally on American History or who the freakin vice president is and such though most sure as shit know the who's who of American Idol or some other such unimportant dribble. I mean we're not even getting a good deal for the money.

How can you say you even own your house if the state or local government can take it for nonpayment of taxes ?  Some places the property taxes are obscene to the point of being confiscatory. I don't have all the answers but just maybe a few ideas I'll save for another thread.

No, I dont think I said his package was diminutive, that was someone else, though I may have responded to it. But then, my joke wasnt inconsistent with that even if I did. And dont let that scum sucking lib SS say any different!

Yes..but as i recall that was a reference to one of the links....somebody who knew him and claimed he was lacking in stature. And again..quite consistent with my poke in this thread :)

Eeeeeewwwww.... I retract my statement, in comparison, North Dartmouth is fine... Remember this is from the perspective of a kid that grew up on Aquidneck Island, to which no other place I have lived has compared.
  Your son WOULD have been better of at either of UMass campuses.
  BTW - The guy I was debating about schools/entitlements thinks families with kids should solely bear the burden of an educated population. Which is at best a fluke. Like people with out kids don't gain a benefit ... They should fill up the wallet with all that money they saved and walk around Rio, where their dreams are a reality and see how pleasant/safe that experience is.
