It doesn't show anything but that it might be taken from the blackberry.

What in the hell was a Congressman doing following the twitter of some strange 21 year one old?  Something smells.

I don't care about the picture and him flirting with some college kid.   The lying if he id it is another story.

I don't know about the photo (sometimes you can view the photo data for clues), but they (Twitter), can absolutely tell who sent it.  Given Weiner-Dude is a US Congressman, in my personal opinion, and for security reasons, this warrants an investigation whether Weiner-Boi wants/requests it or not.

I was curious if Twitter tracks.

You mean "IP Address"... and yes, they keep IP Addresses, logins/logouts, etc. via their logs, though I believe they only need to legally hold logs for 30 days -- which is why if an investigation is going to take place, they need to request said logs, so they're backed up.

The message in question was sent as an @ reply, which is commonly used by mistake when people assume such a reply is private.

I dont tweet, so this is a shot in the dark. Can they not discover where this photo originated from?



Everything I have heard from the congressman is that the pic is not him, and did not originate from his account. In fact, quite a few people have duplicated the screen capture using other accounts and photoshop.

The simple fact that the jpeg did not originate from the congressman's blackberry should be a big give away.

Funny thing is that the woman who supposedly supposed to receive the picture has publicly denied receiving the picture as well as saying that she does not know the congressman.


But let the conservatives make a big deal about this.

The message sent with the photo was addressed specifically to the girl Fact

Friday evening I logged onto Twitter to find that I had about a dozen new mentions in less than an hour, which is a rare occurrence. When I checked one of the posts that I had been tagged in I saw that it was a picture that had supposedly been tweeted to me by Congressman Anthony Weiner.

Further on in her story...

There have never been any inappropriate exchanges between Anthony Weiner and myself, including the tweet/picture in question, which had apparently been deleted before it reached me.

Bullshit. Ive watched 3 interviews and read 2 others and he didnt once say its not him. He plays Clintonesque word games like "Photos are manipulated all the time" without once saying THIS picture was manipulated.

He's treating it was a prank? Give me a fucking break. First of all hacking into his account would be a Federal crime. Second, if someone is trying to cause him political problems he is the first one who would want to know about it. Third, he claims not to know the girl in Seattle, but going into the Rachel Maddow show he tweets "I think its on at 5:45 in Seattle", but thats a coincidence. Fourth, he's hired a firm to look into the prank, when the FBI could figure out in about 10 minutes exactly what happened. So its important enough to investigate but not important enough to thoroughly investigate. Fifth, it would be crime to file a hacking complaint if he wasnt actually hacked.

I know he's a raving liberal lunatic and smells like one, but his story doesnt pass the smell test.

Kudos for Wolf Blitzer in particular for pressing him

Oh and "I hope my marriage survives its first anniversary". Over this? If he did nothing inappropriate? I hope the Brooklyn Bridge isnt in his district.

No. It shows conclusively that the JPEG is not from his blackberry, which all other pictures he sent on twitter are from. Unless you are buying into the ridiculous idea that he knew enough to edit the EXIF metadata in the pic but not enough to not send the pic privately.

This is Brietbart's pathetically obvious payback attempt for Chriss Lee. That you people are falling for it is unbelieveable.
