You make an excellent point. I am not sure there should be any question about resignation.
I too have liked his legislative record. Am I pissed I gave him the benefit of the doubt? Not really. That would be an indictment of ME. Am I bummed he left people who DID give him the benefit of the doubt looking like firewood to the right wingers? Yeah, pretty much.
But I doubt we'll see any resignation over crap like this.

HAH!!!!  What a FUCKING joke!  What has he done?  He has supported higher taxes so working people have to pay for losers that can't carry their own freight (once again, for the congenitally stupid, that does not include infants, the disabled, disabled veterans or the elderly).  He has supported Obama Care to FORCE Americans to purchase a product that most do not want  and in complete derogation of the U.S. Constitution.  He is a lying piece of shit and you libs love him because he is your boy who will support your entitlements.  Any of you libs on this board...ask yourself what you have contributed.  How many people do you employ?  How many entitlements or handout money have you had to suck from your neighbor who is more than capable of spending his/her own money, his/her own way, without YOU hanging from their neck like a fucking VAMPIRE! :)

Well I for one started a small business in this horrible economy. I mean, I'm not some GOP darling that's taken all the bailout money I can get my hands on and then instituted hiring policies that only take employees away from other companies instead of looking at ALL the resumes and putting honest people back to work, all the while sitting on the recovery money like it's some form of an insurance policy against my own horrid business acumen.
What I do WORKS and I pay my taxes and I am a liberal independent.

Do you really think so? Have you seen any of his interviews and debates? He argues using certifiable facts.

Honestly though, I'm disappointed that he'd put himself in such a compromising position. I think very highly of his abilities as a congressman, and I do think that someone like him is needed. The most disasterous part is that he gave a bit of credibility to someone who really does not deserve it.

I'd like to point out though, that none of the things that he admitted to are illegal. That he's a freak in his personal life SHOULD'NT matter. This is, at its core, STILL a political chess move.

Ridiculous statement, my friend.  First, let me correct you, much of the bailout money and tarp money went to liberal CEO's like Geoffrey Imelt of GE and for the benefit of the UAW (which was also to the detriment of the bondholders) of GM and Chrysler.  OK?  So it isn't "GOP darlings" that got the cash.  Also...the people that got the cash represent 1 or 2 % of the country's population.  If ObamaCare, which Weiner supports, and Cap and Trade, which Weiner supports, pass/and-or get funded, you can kiss that small business good-bye.

I applaud you for starting a small business.  I have a small business as well.  I employ people and pay them fairly.

But I will also tell you this, there is not one-fucking-red-cent that you or anyone else on this board has paid to contribute to my day to day living expenses.  And that is how it should be for all of us that are able bodied with IQ's that fall within the normal median of the bell curve.

Ummm... no he doesn't.  His whole Goldline International attack campaign, for example, was full of lies.
