Gosh Sunny, this thread is especially meaningful to me right now and has been for the past few months in fact.

Long story short (very short).

We dated

He decided after a couple of months he didn't have the energy or inclination for a relationship and thought it best we have no further contact

I left it for a month and then suggested a coffee at some stage

coffee became dinner  (at a shared table with a young couple who asked me if he and I were on our first date), more coffee, browsing together in a book shop and him inviting me over for dinner one night to meet his kids!!

since then I have become a regular fixture at his home and spend time with he and his kids and we all went out to a festival to celebrate Buddha's birthday a few weeks ago

Today I went over and spent the afternoon baking biscuits with his kids and the man became teary when he was asking me about my proposed indefinite trip back home and said that he is unbelievably sad about my leaving and isn't convinced that I will be returning

He gave me so many bearhugs today I feel a bit squished and as always, he showered me with compliments and told me how glad he was to see me  and how wonderful I am

When you figure out the answer can you tell me please sweetheart xx

You are not getting invisible; you are just becoming harder for assholes to see.

By the way... I love that.  :)

I think it's true that fewer assholes see me, but also fewer wunnerful people see me as well.

Ahhhh...my darling sunny one, but isn't that the point? If someone wonderful comes along and they don't "see" you or take the time, then it is not meant to be, no?

It is all true that we all age and the fact of life is that yeah, we all lose that blushing glow of youth. But if you take care of yourself and your mind, the glow comes from another place, even if the outside is not quite as perfect as it once was.

I look at older photos of myself from my modeling days, from college, when I was at my peak and say, wow, look at me. Then I look at my current photos of myself and say, wow, look at me. Older, but still hot, and I also see more depth.

I see the same me, in slightly different packaging but with more wisdom, knowledge, wit, humor, strength and truth.
