But where we don't, we'll vote in republicans because they are closest to us in ideology" then they couldn't actually get any candidates on the ballot here because well, THEY DIDN'T EXIST... so they voted for "independent republicans". It just doesn't get any funnier than that.

I stated the original usage referred to communists and implied it better fits liberals ( i.e. I'm stickin with the original usage.........commie ) Though I think your implication is more of a stretch.
