June 18, 2010
A former Orlando TSA security officer arrested for allegedly molesting a minor pleaded no contest to one charge today and was sentenced to 10 years' sex-offender probation.

A victim told deputies Bennett asked her to be his sex slave and fondled her against her will.

When Charles Henry Bennett was arrested last year, he was employed by the Transportation Security Administration. Now he is unemployed, his attorney said in court.

Status: offline 		I didnt notice the date, thanks Anjelika, so ten years sex offender probation, no job and he has to wear a  electronic monitoring device for ten years? He got off lucky!

It’s unclear exactly where the alleged abuse took place and how Bennett and the girl met, because the arrest report detailing the abuse is heavily redacted. The report does reveal that the “protective investigation” that led to Bennett’s arrest was initiated after Florida’s Department of Children and Families was notified that the girl came forward to her “house parents.”

In the police report, Bennett acknowledges that he "groped" the girl, although the girl's version is more graphic.

    Funny how someone who would  bring up child groping as a grave offence has argued so vociferrously that the TSA has been doing the right thing all along in doing that very thing, apparantly ignoring that little reality in the process. I'm sure it makes all the difference in the world to a child whether the groping is on the job or off the job. Right.

    Once reading the job description, what type do you -think- is going to flock to that job?


    And that 'beat-down' of societal consideration for dignity never has, never could, and never will make us 'safer.' R/L security experts laugh at the useless and comical gesture and point out that it actually makes it easier for would-be terrorist bombers.

    Personally for me, the TSA is not the news but more an accusation that the govmntn only hires perverts and pedes.
    The fact is that most of us here would be classed as perverts and liable to cause as much uproar as his"Master" claims did.
    The fact he got ten years probation as a sex offender and is no longer working for the TSA is obviously a GOOD thing.(scummy dickwadasswipe)
    That pedophilia and Master is used together as a pejorative means that even more so now, you have to be careful who you "out"  yourself to if you want a govmnt job, or one that requires background checks.

    Marine corps, maybe - if he had his 20 in.

    Maybe when you looked there were only PT jobs available but TSA is generally a full time job. And 7 years of service is most likely 10-15% of pay, and TSA employees are paid pretty damn well.

    The whole pension issue is pretty moot. Its almost impossible to deny someone a pension because of any kind of misconduct, and they cant be garnished or attached.
