As for this $1 a gal tax idea...

What a brilliant idea! Just at a time when lower income Americans are really hurting, let's dig into their meager budgets all the more! I mean, its not like poor people have anywhere to go... right?

You said it!    Gas prices are already  about $1.50 too high.

Country folk know nothing, nothing at all of culture.I repeat....fucking hicks!!!!!

Come on mike, you can stay at my place up on the river and we'll float fish down to the park, eat some greasy stuff, look at the livestock and if we can get past the livestock from town, we can go to the barns and see the animals!
It is FUN!
In some sort of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer sort of way ?Though I appreciate the invite I will pass....I am saving my entertainment money for a trip to Broadway and a good play......I know,I know such a silly old waste of time.....enjoy the corn dogs and the crying children.....lol

Moped sales have skyrocketed where I live. Mopeds are a great way to save on gas if it's not raining and you're not transporting children or shopping.

Is there some law of nature that says you can't enjoy both? I enjoy a glamourous night on the town - dinner in a fine restaurant and a play - just as much as I enjoy a watching women in tank tops and cut-off jean shorts mud wrassling.

Don't fall prey to the either/or thought process that limits your options. Free you mind, man! Free your mind!

When I do errands I often have 2 bags of groceries to come home with me.

In truth Marc, minus the sarcasm and ball busting....I attended the NC state fair a few years ago.....and swore I would never again be caught dead at one of those things. To be fair(pun intended)this is more about the nature of my disabilities than anything else....when I choose to do things I must weigh the cost physically speaking.Walking around a fair all day leaves me in intense pain.....for me a round of golf is worth such pain...a day at the fair is not.

That problem is easy enough to solve... steal one of the golf carts and drive that around the fair.

By the way, did you know that foie gras and corn dogs go really good together?

slvemike4u -> RE: GM chief pushing for higher gas taxes... (6/7/2011 1:53:48 PM)

NoI did not,did You ever see the movie Tin Cup....in it the Costner character asks the Don Johnson character if he had ever played the back 9 solely with a 7 iron, and if he had/could shoot par while doing so.....to which the Johnson character replied that the thought of doing so had never entered his mind(paraphrased of course). The point I am raising here is.....why would one ever eat foie gras and corn dogs....much like Johnson I am at a loss as to why you would do so [:)]

LaTigresse -> RE: GM chief pushing for higher gas taxes... (6/7/2011 2:45:18 PM)

To that I ask............Why not?!?[:D]

mnottertail -> RE: GM chief pushing for higher gas taxes... (6/7/2011 2:47:05 PM)

All right there Bobby, the Kennedy dynasty is no more............

If they are on a stick.............

(that's the simple answer)

slvemike4u -> RE: GM chief pushing for higher gas taxes... (6/7/2011 2:49:52 PM)

LaTigresse -> RE: GM chief pushing for higher gas taxes... (6/7/2011 3:01:16 PM)
