Really? Underwear is just cloth. I have to admit I've always found this mindset a bit hard to fathom... but then, maybe that's the whole point. We're all offended by different things. Prayer, corporate jargon and excessive political correctness are pretty high on my personal list.

I don't feel any desire to be publicly humiliated myself, but I pretty much agree with you and Sekhemet about the reasonableness of this kink (and it's nice to have the perspective of someone with actual knowledge of retail). I'm sure there are much better ways of annoying sales staff and scaring away fellow customers than buying "inappropriate" items, and at some point "not involving the non-consenting public" crosses over into pandering to narrow-mindedness and puritanism. Sometimes the non-consenting public just needs to grow the fuck up.

Status: offline 		Wow I didnt expect much of a response and it is fascinating reading you differing views and to me, mostly valid too. The desire has been in me since child hood and I am 38 now. I think it is something I need to get out of my system. I agree with the sentiment that you should not make any one uncomfortsble like a sales girl in a lingerie shop and certainly notcomming out of a dressing room in a bra etc. It is not right or fair and I probably could not cope anyway with that level of exposure. The level I could probably cope with is for a girl to pick out bra's and so on, then put them up against me. Maybe make me buy them handing over the money wearing painted false nails, try on high heals. The turn on for me is to see girls have a laugh and a giggle at my expense.

I agree with what you say rochsub. The fantasy of being forcibly humilaited in this way although very real and scary to me is almost a lie when it is also a desire. Okay, let me clarify.  You're right.  "Offensive" was probably too strong a word.  I don't find it to be offensive.  Rather, I find myself thinking "what a stupid fashion that is". 

Same with the loud music.  It doesn't offend me.  But I do find myself thinking "turn that crap down, you idiot.  You're going to be deaf by the time you're 25."

So it probably would have been more accurate to say that I think those behaviors are "stupid" rather than offensive.

Actually, I think you're not being optimistic enough.  As we've already mentioned, what you seek is a very common fantasy.  I'll bet the majority of the male subs on here have probably had to go shopping for girly clothes (that were actually for themselves).  I certainly have.  I really don't think you'll have much difficulty realizing this fantasy if you really desire to.

Just from a crossdressing perspective rather than a humiliation one:

The guys that I know who've gone into shops with a positive and unashamed outlook and asked for help choosing women's things to wear have, in general, been received with warmth and positivity and no attempt at shaming. That's par for the course - if you're happy and confident then people want to help you out, whether that's buying wood for carpentry or buying a dress and a pair of killer stilettos.

Status: offline 		I've always been a firm believer in teaching my kids not to be embarrassed about purchasing "inappropriate" items. My son bought his first box of tampons for me when he was 17, he fought me about going, but i told him he can never tell what he might have to do in the future and to never be ashamed. He still goes for my tampons and other things he doesn't want to buy quite frequently. And he doesn't have a problem with it.

Do you think you would have enjoyed it more (on a deep level, not on the surface) if the women working there were shocked or laughing at you, vs. being very professional about it?

It can be tricky with male subs; some want to be laughed at deep down, and others just enjoy the discomfort of the situation and a tolerant, helpful staff is ideal for them.
