I would never agree that union-busting is OK, but I think it was inappropriate to try to steal the limelight from the Special Olympians.

I agree and I think it is sad that people will base their opinion of something on who started the thread, as owner claims he does. what differenece does it make who posts the thread. The subject is the union and how they acted. In this case they acted like thugs how does that help anyone?

Doesn't the Governor have an office to receive guests and stuff, or is that just for campaign contributors?

I know in New York, Cuomo would have probably invited them for a formal reception over at the Governor's Mansion, with at least cookies and punch catered if not a whole event. ( which has security provided by the New York State Police, incidentally. ).

Of course, Cuomo is a real politician and not a wannabe, so he knows how to do real politician things like "Build Consensus" and shit rather than pissing people off with bad faith tricks like intentionally violating the open meetings statutes and stuff....

No Special Olympics ceremony should ever need a security detail, no one would expect people would rob Special Olympics athletes of a their moment in the spotlight  like that. The union goons were dressed like zombies, apparently they were trying to frighten the Special Olympians

I just think his use of Thug and Bullying is being overly drama queenish.
I dont disagree about ruining the ceremony for the kids themselves, but no one was being a thug or a bully in the traditional sense
over dramitising doesnt do any good at all and he is very very good at it , which is why the OP was the target, the drama gets to be just plain dumb.
