Getting this thread back on the rails, about 1/4 the cops I know spark up, the vast majority of them view weed busts as a colossal waste of time and the ones who view weed militantly tend to be the troopers who are just hard line dickheads about almost everything in life.
The irony here is that the vast majority of their cases are for pot, and usually it's small amounts for personal use, less than 10 grams. Which means that each time an arrest happens, the cop has to spend all day doing paperwork etc...instead of being out on the street fighting real crime. Not to mention the thousands of dollars it costs as the case wends its way through the legal system.
Polls say that the vast majority of Americans favor legal medical marijuana and I'm pretty sure they run about 50/50 in favor of legalization. Personally I know very few people who would take a stand against legalization-hell, it's pretty commonly accepted by the general public that pot is a whole lot less harmful than booze.
That pot is still illegal in the US is just flat out tomfoolery.

We get that over here as well, Kana. Most of the actual Police forces resent the fact that they're expected to waste their time dealing with the evil shits who sell the stuff, but there's no question of Parliament legalising or decriminalising it, then taking the profits away from the filth who import the stuff so that they can be taxed.

It's the same story here in Australia where increasingly judges, prosecutors police and others directly involved in the failed "War on Drugs' have realised the futility of prohibition and are speaking their minds publicly.

What, you don't want me to get busted ? Don't worry about it. It's fucking irrelevant. I can either stay cool or not, I don't actually have a car right now ( got a good deal on one ? ) but I can get cars all day long. Doesn't mean shit. I also have guns. Assume all people have plenty of means to FUCK UP, with cars and other tools like guns. The either do or they don't. Do you presume to call for a bill of attainder ? That is unlawful in this country. That will also be one hell of a  fight once my shit hits the fan, but I have really calculated it and I am unlikely to get popped before I die, so everything is cool.

I can do anything, I'd like to try to fly a plane (not tonight of course). I might buy a boat next year but I have no idea fucking why. Well if it goes fast it might grow on me.

But if I did three bottles of booze, two cases of beer, an ounce of coke or crack and a pound of weed TONIGHT, what the fuck does anyone have to say about it ?

When I was younger, intoxication was something that numbed me a bit, enough to handle what I saw happening around me. It is diffeent now, now it is a beligerent act as wel as what I simply choose to do.

I only live once. Notice that I did not say that YOU only live once. I don't give a fuck how many times YOU live. I give a fuck about how many times I live. Tell me how great it is to be straight all the time on this fucking planet. Fuck all that. I am out to have a good time if it kills me and really, I hope it does. Not that I am going to get stupid about it, but I really don't care.

And you can't even begin to understand. You think I am cracked or somehow defective and in need of help. I assure you this is not true. I am happy despite serious financial problems and so forth. Fuck, everybody has that these days.

Fire up a big ass hog leg and toke baby toke. Fuck all this straight laced shit. EVERY truck driver you meet, burn one. Eventually ALL of them will test dirty for pot. Then there will be no food and the fucking assholes in government will have to back down. If we don't make them back up some they will continue to move forward, and if you have open eyes you can see that direction. Eventually you will need permission to take a piss. 

You know there are some places...... Thee was also a retail outlet that requested that their employees wore diapers to cut down on bathroom breaks. But for sheeple, these things are just fine. Personally, I might burn the fucking place down with the bo........ never mind.

ETA : Mods this is of course hypothetical. But all, understand this, I take my rights, and I take them seriously.

I am not fucking driving. I am sitting in front of a PC posting to a kink forum. Do you feel endangered by that somehow ? Where is that "kill" key. In fact where is the fucking "any" key ?

And don't even bring up my driving, it's good enough that they do not bust me. I do not create victims. I am not stupid (anymore).

When I get fucked up I do it at home. It is my house, there are no children and I consider that freedom. Can you understand ?

Thats why I asked if you were fucking driving or not. Do you have a learning disability? Whatever the fuck you decide to do in your own fucking home is your fucking business. When you take that shit then go in public, driving a couple of tons of steel, then it becomes the public's problem.
